Hi folks . Just waiting on all my components arriving so I can start my first ever grow. So far I've got my... tent 120x60x150.
My carbon filter and fan kit 4"
. My growing medium . Biobizz all mix. My nutes . A biobizz try pack.
Two lights . A 150w invisible sun pro. And a 150w kingbo UFO. (I split my light budget in case I had any problems with one).
20 l fabric pots
A temp and humidity monitor
A 4" intake fan
3 auto northern light seeds from rqs
1 quick one seed from rqs.
Can anyone advise am I missing anything here that's obvious? And any tips for my first grow? All help will be appreciated.

Welcome and I hope you are ready for a 130 day grow. All the NL on here have been taken forever to flower. @davisgirl is this the same as you just cut?

Hi StillSmokin, Hi Robert! Just harvested the first NL last night, trimmed forever, she went 123 days. The second one is coming down today. She was from Growers Choice though, I think RQS is a good breeder, they should harvest when they say they’re going to, or at least in the ballpark. Here’s a pic of my girls from the other day, the plant on the right is now down:

Welcome to AFN! Tag me into your journal, I’d love to follow along. Your equipment list is a good start, not seeing anything to address pH. The cheapest is the little papers but not very precise. A cheap yellow ph pen from Amazon is not much more, but you’ll need the calibration and soaking fluid. You’ll also need ph up and ph down. A soil probe would be nice too but it can wait.

Here’s a link to some free Megacrop nutrient — https://greenleafnutrients.com/product/mega-crop/ you’ll need some calmag as well.

Not sure what we know about Biobizz all mix soil. Some soils have been problematic but I’m not a soil grower so I’m not sure. Maybe a soil grower can weigh in.

You will need a dozen more things, but none of them obvious. You’ll find you need small things throughout your first grow.

hi and @ROBERTDOUGLAS99 and to autos had a list as long as me arm at 1st grow 50 grows later list is half an arm,and no sign of it getting smaller,there will allwas be something more thats needed/wanted.and i havnt started on the seeds yet
get stuck in,see what happens

I ordered litmus papers last night but had read that organic soil is less problematic with pH issues is this correct? @davisgirl . Those are some healthy looking plants btw. Does anyone know the minimum temp I will get a grow to perform with . I live in Ireland so it's a bit chilly and the tent is going up in my garage loft. I thought the lights would warm the tent enough but im worried now it won't be enough.
Finally does anyone think smell will be a big issue for me ? Nl with carbon filter ? I picked nl for this reason . Thanks for all the info guys. I work in an agricultural science lab and set up plant trials all the time but growing weed has so many pitfalls that ive never even Considered.

My bad — didn’t realize you were running organic. I think you need temps to be in the 70s for a good result. They grow slow at lower temps. But — the buds are beautiful, for some reason the color really comes out. It may be OK. I’d set the gear up and let it run for 24 hours and see where you’re at. I grow in the basement and a small space heater keeps the tent nice. Best of luck!

I have been looking into companion planting. The blue bowl has a carnivorous plant — I forget the name, but it is supposed to eat bugs. I am looking into a couple other plants now that might be beneficial.

me grow every spring carnivorous plants for my kitchen to keep bugs away, but me stoner head didn't see the option to put em into grow space-----> thanks a ton....
