I grew Banana Kush as first grow. 4 x 4 x 6 ft tent, light is SpectrumKing LED 140W, 50-60hz frequency at 18 in above canopy, 18/6 schedule. Nutes SensiGrow, Bloom, Voo Doo Juice 1/4 recommended strength every watering. Water is from reverse osmosis unit. I used grow bags with mix from organic shop here. Utilized SCROG method. So, just under 12 weeks and jeweler's loop said time to harvest. Lots of very small loose buds.

I should have put more dirt in 3 gallon grow bags, I didn't overwater (they were dry when I watered every other day), temperature range was 60-68 deg F, humidity 45-55%. Harvest is drying now and almost ready to cure. Did I do something wrong?

My next crop, Gorilla Glue #4, seeds were planted 2-4-21. I used Ocean Forest soil with some extra peat moss and perlite for good drainage and ease of root growth in grow bags. Made sure to fill 3 gallon bags this time. Plants look outstanding. I tell the girls how beautiful they are every day. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

Wrong? Not really, you got through to the end. It's all a refining process. My 1st thought after reading specs on that light is it might not be enuff. Got nice nugs off my first auto but they could definitely used some bulking up. 2 x ts600 in a 2x4 tent, fixing to order 2 x ts 1000 for same tent with 1 ts600 and use other ts600 in closet over cloner and mothers.

First grow successful.... that's a real good start! I grew Charlie Brown Christmas trees my first round...

Looking at the photo parent, banana kush, the word "fluffy" is used in the description of the nugs. While other things can affect density, genetics would be #1.
As to size and yeild, your temps are about 10 degrees low, that'll make a big difference. When I made the switch to autos about 5 yrs ago, I ran temps closer to yours cause I was used to my old HPS lights. When I finally brought the temps up to 78-84 for the leds I run now, I saw quite a jump in overall growth.
While autos do just fine with lower feed levels, pushing a plant to maximize its yield will probably have you above those amounts.
It requires upping levels till you get a little tip burn, then backing off 10%. I'm regularly over 100% of recommended feed levels, it's all in what the plant will take. Some are finicky and only want a little, others are gluttonous bioches.
Am sure there's a lot of things to tweak to get the weight up. Am a big believer in less is more, top @ the 4th or 5th node, spread the satellites, and let them alone.

Lighting... for a single plant that was probably plenty, but it's not enough to cover a 4x4 in flower, closer to a 3x3.

Definitely could be a mix of different thing such as not enough light, water feed schedule, genetics, temperature. But I would say a successful grow nonetheless since you're getting bud to smoke and learned from the experience.
I bet you next grow will be much better. Good luck :vibes: :vibes: :headbang::smoking:

Thank you very much for the encouragement. My new girls are looking great (Gorilla Glue). The temperatures are warming in Nebraska and I think I was too conservative with the nutes. May all your grows be green and prosper.

I think just getting to harvest is a great accomplishment for your first time. I have some royal gorilla, gorilla zkittlez and mimosa evo on the go, all photos though.

Starting my auto journey with a Roc order. I was going to stop again till the winter after this run but might see if I can try a small outdoor grow

how old is ur mimosa evo & what'z the size/structure like-? jus curious, cuz i won some barney'z farm mimosa evo from gorilla seedz a while back & have been debatin on growin one outside this summer ;) ppp

Well they started off 2/3 weeks behind the others, funnily enough I also won those seeds, along with the royal gorilla from rqs.

They have grown really well and caught up. Will try and remember to take a pic but they are probably about 4 foot indoors in 11 litre pots. Nice sturdy looking plants.
