What light are you using? They do look much better today

Viparspectra 600w (actual draw is 266w in mine's case, bringing the whole op to exactly 300w after the recent addition of a second circulation fan, according to the Kill A Watt). Anything bigger and I wouldn't be able to manage ideal VDP. I think it'll prove sufficient. Manufacturer recommends ridiculous distances (starting with something like 40"), but I've had it between 20-24" most of the time with both sets of lights on.

That's a nice light, but it can be a bit strong on young plants. That's close, you could raise it a few inches and let the plant grow to it. After 4 weeks they are usually strong enough to tolerate the intensity.

I've been slowly moving the light closer (sometimes leaving it where it is as the growing plants close the gap themselves) after backing it off a couple inches at the first signs of the deficiency/pH problem, as I know they're less resilient to intense light when sick. I was thinking I'm vigilant enough that I might notice bleaching before it becomes a problem and I get singed tips/edges. Seems like allowing them to kiss the sun once is the only way I can figure out where the ideal height is for this light, you know? I'll back it up to 18" for now since they're still just recovering.

Day 18: Bit more browning on the second set of leaves on Forum Stomper, but that had already begun before the calcium/pH issue was corrected. Very slight tip burn on WC (such a good idea to have 4 strains going at once :p). Already compensated for that.

Are you misting? They look like water is on the leaf. That will burn them with the lights on.

I'm actually just 'missing', like a 4-year-old boy in the bathroom. I gently dab them right after with a towel, and it's becoming a pain in the ass as they grow. I removed the excess solution just after taking the photos today--usually I do it before. Just yesterday I ordered a submersible bottom-drawing pump (about 300 GPH max, attenuated a bit due to ~2' head, which seems like an ideal rate for this) and a very gentle wand that I'll use with a 5 ga. bucket from now on. $50 total, but will save me a lot of time and paper towel money. These watering cans I have are absolute garbage and my options are basically to get water on the leaves, or only water the extreme perimeter of the pot.

Nutes on the leaf will definitely cause them to discolor, could be most of the problem. The wand sound like a brilliant idea. Cant wait to see it working

Yeah, thing is the discoloration is worst on the obviously stunted Forum Stomper, and it's second worst on the White Crack. Virtually no signs on the Sour Crack (the biggest plant with the most splashable surface area), and none at all on the Fugue State. They've all gotten quite wet after some waterings, but with the exception of this morning where it took me a few minutes, I've always dabbed up the water within seconds of watering. From fungus experience, I was actually really conscious from the beginning of not having any water droplets readily apparent on them--not just due to the light lens effect, but mold (which is obviously less a problem here with constant fans blowing than with cubensis). I'm going with the main problem being the ~6.68 pH food they got from Day 1-14. :p They had a really tough 9 to 14 days (depending on the age of each plant) and given I see no indication of sex yet--and the fact that they are goddamn tiny compared to every other grow log I have checked out--I'm guessing it's had a pretty brutal impact. But really, I'm over that and not at all concerned with yields anymore. I know they'll flower and I'll have enough for myself no matter how tiny they end up. They'll be easy to manage this way. :p

I'll take pics of the wand/pump setup later this week, should be perfect if I chose the right gallons per hour pump. It's sort of an overly serious solution for a grow my scale, but given I can only access two sides of my tent (it's in the corner of a closet), watering is a real pain and I haven't been enjoying using these $6 Home Depot watering cans to do it...

the plants will be fine relax bro, just feed 550-600ppm and 6.0 ph and they will thrive. I would recommend next time do 3 gal pots with 50/50 coco. This will get a strong root base early. I always precondition my coco with 500ppm nuts and 2ml cal mag for 2 days prior to planting seedling. I start seedling in rapid rooters for 5-7 days then put in 3 gal final pots. I feed strong in 50/50 coco you can see problems fast and levels fast and correct fast. The down side is frequent waterings. My bum wine auto plants are on day 31 and taking almost a gallon a day each plant
