New Grower First ever grow with what I have on hand

And I think @pop22 or @Unique maybe has a soil mix that they use chicken manure in for the nitrogen, I can't remember whose thread it was. It might be worth tracking that thread down and getting to work composting some of that poop.

I have a small farm. Horses, chickens and etc. with all the shit that they produce. Maybe I'll make my own soil at some point. Right now, all that shit goes in the vegetable garden.

Poop is the shit! hehehe. I use any manure I can get. Careful with chicken manure, its fairly high N so use it in small amounts. And i buy horse manure by the truck load for my raised beds, i get it for $15.00 a pickups $4.00 a bag for cow manure.

Here's my soil thread. cow, horse, sheep, goat manure are all about the same, horse manure is a bit better than cow but its all good!

The grow is a total success @Time. My ladies taught me the calmag lesson a few times now haha! Respect for soil growers — I can throw out and replace a 5 gallon bucket any old time—but you’ve gotta nurture that soil for 10+ weeks. And I can never over water! This lady is going to surprise you with the bud she produces, it’s in their generous nature.

If you do decide to go the organic route — rock on! I have seen some of the most amazingly beautiful and healthy plants done organically — worms in the pot and all. I’d love to go that route at some point. I suspect once you go organic, you don’t go back.

Seriously... https://www.kisorganics.com just find their recipe and make your own because shipping is not cheap. They also have a product finder on their site but places that carry it are limited, my closest one is an hour north of here in Portland. And they have a podcast, compost tea brewer, literature, etc. I have alleviated myself of the need to water once, or even more per day, which is a great savings in itself of both time and resources. The weed is so clean you can just dry it and smoke, though it's a touch grassy without cure and probably not as stony. Anyway, check out their site at least, it's opened my eyes a lot.

Thanks. It's a success in that I learned from it. But my goal of keeping a plant healthy to harvest will have to wait till next grow.

It's just frustrating that with all the things that could have gone wrong considering my minimalist start(I still don't have most of the stuff found in most grow tents) that I caused my own problem with water. :wall:

Update time. Week 8/day 56

She is continuing to yellow some but at a little bit slower pace now that she has dried out some. It took a few extra days for her to dry since she isn't drinking much. Smell is half of what it was when I walk in the room. Lots of white hairs turned orange already but it looks like buds still have some growth potential. And what is there is frosty. It looks they've grown a bit since last week but there is no question that drowning her has caused me to lose a good amount of bud production.

I'll water today with peroxide to get some O2 to her roots and hopefully minimize any root rot. I haven't decided if I'll add any nutes. I'm thinking no. I doubt she used much from last feeding with her drowning roots. What do you guys think? Maybe a touch of epsom salts so I don't get a magnesium deficiency with the COB.

Pictures soon.
