Well got the germination started on 1/16 just 1x mobydick fem and 1x pineapple express auto fem in paper towels in ziplock bags, they popped and moved those to accel a root starter kit under a T5. Also placed 4x PE (auto fem) straght into starter kit to reduce stress. Now just waiting for them to pop the surface, temps are at about 80 and humidity at about 35...lets hope for the best...also placed to in rockwool and watered all with Ph balanced water 6.0...

Sounds good. I'll be watching your grow. I'm also growing pine apple express. Can't wait.

What nutrients are you using? Are you using the T5 throughout the entire grow?

humidity is at 40% steady now, the nutes are GH floranova grow and bloom for now will pick up some micro later...as for the T5 HO its just one for now 47w 6500 but the set up will be one BS 240 over the top in a 3x3 tent with 4 T5 HO (one in each corner) vertical and 2 125w CFL over the top next to the Blackstar (one on each side of the BS). I think this should be enough lighting for about 4 plants to 6, I will post pics of the set up once i get it together, again all advice is welcome...

4 of the 6 have sprouted and roots started showing thru the bottom of the accel a root pots so i switched them to the dwc, dont know if this is good or should i leave them in the trays a while longer...any help will be greatly appreciated...

hi justice..

your setup is looking nice and clean. from the pictures im guessing your using the new style oxypot with the new solid lid. as soon as you see roots come through your pellet you want to stick them in hydroton in the top of dwc bubbler.

there are two ways to start em off..
1. you can put rooted plant in top of system in hydroton and dunk every 3-4 hours in 1/4 strength nutrient solution until the roots come through the netpot.
2. you can fully setup dwc system, then have water level an inch below the rooted plant in netpot.

the choice is yours, i prefer option 1.
i can only see two pots in pics and what seems to be a very limited growspace for 6 dwc grown plants, are you planning on putting more than one plant in one pot??
im now on my first dwc grow only one plant, its 2.5ft wide now and over 80cm high. im just pre-warning you that dwc really can get the most out of a strain and they get big..

another bit of advise i will give is "get good ph-ec meters" its crucial for any hydro grow, 0.3 difference in ph is all it takes to start to mess a plant up..

hope iv helped a bit mate.. ill be watching this if you dont mind..

peace..

hey P.L.U.R thanx for the notes definitely helpful...as for the dwc i made those myself picked up everything at lowes and i still have to make atleast 4 more, the final area they will be in will be a 4x4 area...now for some more pics...this is about day 3...Ok so i placed them in the dwc with the water level about an inch into the net pots the water is bubbling up to bottom of the rockwool and accel a root medium, the plants in the accel a root are doing fine but those in the rockwool started to curl up shortly after, so im taking your 1st suggestion and placing them a bit above the bubbling water and will be dunking them every 4 hours until the roots get a bit bigger. hope this works better for them...the others i will leave as is, i placed 2 in each bucket for now and will place them in their own buckets once the roots get a bit longer...

All sounds and looks good mate.

Imo, I wouldnt put 2 in the pots to start. If you have the other lids you should put them in them. The start of any root system is crucial, I dont think you would be able to transplant without damaging. As you will see they shoot out fast and in every direction. But this is just my opinion..i havent ever done it and wouldnt lol..

Im definitely gonna get one of the lids though, plants get big in dwc and very top heavy that thing looks sturdy as f*ck..

Check out my dwc bro..
