day 42

so its time for another update at exactly week 6 from germination.
now things have been coming along nicely for the last week or so up until yesterday..... but ill get to that later on.

In the last week I have seen some rapid growth from all plants as I expect they are coming to the end of there veg cycle and have some nice flowers starting to appear although I do have one plant that stands out as the dominant one, its slightly taller than the others with a bushier frame and more budsites
I am still feeding with cal/mag as some of the lower fan leaves are still showing deficiencies (yellowing of leaves and tiny brown spots) does anybody know if these leaves will recover or has the damage already been done? last pic is worse leaf.
also I have stayed at feeding 3/4 strength feed through out as could see they were slightly overfed at full strength.

now a quick question about flowering nutrients, I have a bottle of the house and garden bud xl and a bottle of top booster (which is there pk equivalent) but belive I should only be using these towards the end of flower or can I use these earlier?

now for my nightmare! left for work at 8 am and was told by neighbour at 9 am we had a power cut in our street. I returned home at 5 pm to find my babies were sat in thier tent at 6 degrees celcius and 96% humidity for 8 hours.
light schedule ment they should have had light all day, the plants were covered in water droplets so I shook off what I could and dabbed the rest with a paper towel then got temps back up to normal with lights and my small heater. 24 hrs on and they seem to be unaffected so hope will be ok. I didn't manage to get any pics in a mad rush to get things right but they looked normal, a tiny bit limp but normal.

so overall its been an eventfull week but im still loving it and cant wait to see my results.

Hi Kato,

If they were in nature, they would have that rare bad weather/light conditions and survive, so they seem fine I guess but I'm not an expert.

On the defficiency problem; it states that " the old leaves will probably not recover, but new growth should be green and healthy" here: http://www.growweedeasy.com/calcium-deficiency-cannabis

They look nice by the way. Which ones were the ciriticals again?

Thanks for the info I did remember reading that somewhere but like to get as many views as possible from other people and make my own mind up lol
I hadn't thought about the outside grower and conditions they can go through but think there OK so all is good.

Think I'm going to try a bit of LST on them tonight to get a bit more light in centre of plant its getting a bit crowded in the middle.

day 46

so last night I had enough time to do a bit of bending on my plants. I just pulled apart the larger lower branches and tied them down with some really thin picture wire I had in the house and seems to have done the trick! there is now much more light getting to the lower branches and smaller bud sites I just wished I had started this earlier. but I will do on my next grow for sure.
pisadres sorry I didn't see your comment the other day but here is a before and after LST of my critical +2.0 ill try and get a better close up for you tonight aswel.

a couple of days after LST and they are loving thier new found light.

whilst talking about light I had a thought about my spare 250 w cfl. would it be ok to use it in my tent as an addition to my 600 hps and would this have a positive effect on thier growth? or could it damage them? as ive been told they like the extra blue light during last half of flower.

day 51

now its been a busy week for me training for my tough mudder and ive not been able to spend as much time with my plants as id like but still I think there doing well.
its now day 51 and they are starting to flower nicely and have developed a lot of crystals over the leaves, they also starting to get nice and stinky but luckily I don't have to worry about that where im growing, they have been taking well to the bud xl im using and now at half strength, ive noticed the criticals like a little less than the BA though.
I had planned on doing at least 6 for my next grow but since I did some LST on these ones ill probably just stick with 5 and get them trained earlier. I don't want to do deal with a jungle in there lol

looking good. i'd take your nutes higher though. They could use some nitrogen.

Thanks blessed I wasn't sure whether they were getting too much feed! They are still a lighter shade of green than I'd like. U think I should increase my base feed and bloom feed? As they be getting watered tonight.
