Hello guys and girls,

I joined this forum because this is my first auto grow I have attempted and well things are not going so well. I've grown photoperiod plants and had quite success and I have always wanted to try an auto. I picked up some Dinafem XXL White Widow auto seeds and all 3 germinated. I'm at 30 day mark and preflowering and first sign of pistils showed at day 25ish. My bottom leaves are turning yellow on one of the plants and I'm looking for some advice, any advice really. Some things about my setup... 4x4x7 grow tent. 1000W MH/HPS bulbs and have a 450cfm fan to circulate air along with a carbon filter for smell. The plants are on 18/6 right now and have been since they sprouted. I would attach pictures but their sleeping right now and I dont want to pull them out, so pictures will follow first thing in the morning. Once again thanks for any help.

hey man, welcome to AFN as im sure you know its hard to tell until you post those pics, but lower leaves going yellow I would guess at nitrogen deficiency. so you need to increase your base nutrients, you growing in soil or hydro, what nutes are you using?

Hey guys,

So I'm growing in 3 gallon airports with FFOF soil and the Fox Farms liquid nutes(big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom). Images are attached below.

Hey man, how recently did the lower leaves turn yellow. Have you changed the amount of nutes per feed since the leaves faded.
Also what feed schedule are you following

Mannn... Looks most like N deficiency, but could be many things.. Seems too early for fanners to be dropping.
Maybe cal/mag?
Maybe overwatering?
Maybe PH is off, but it's soil so it shouldn't make a big difference.
Maybe, just maybe, you are using tap water and it has a really high PPM like mine in SoCal? MY tap water will kill any plant. 500 ppm out of the tap.
Maybe too much light?

I'll go with N deficiency since they are receiving a lot of light and are growing so rapidly. Mine are never that large at day 30. The plants are using the stored nutrients from the fan leaves. That's my best guess.

PH is good. I actually gave them there first feed on the 20th with nutes. I was told not to use nutes early because autos burn easily. Apparently they were wrong. It's getting better after I gave her some grow big and tiger bloom. I have been watering whenever the pots are no longer heavy. It's been about every 3-4 days. I will water them today and give them a full dose of nutes, last time I gave half because I didn't want to burn them. The leaves started turning yellow about the time I joined this forum. I knew that leaves shouldn't be turning yellow this early so I came here for advice :). I'll post some more pictures this weekend showing the status of recovery. Thanks so much for all the advice guys.

So here is a little update. All of the girls are looking great. They were just starving for nutes. I gave them a full dose of tiger bloom and big bloom; maybe a little to much since I burned the short girl. But all in all things are looking up. I'll keep this updated till harvest.

They're taking off now man! I'm a big believer in getting the nutes into a plant as early as you can. Autos get very hungry after the first ten days....

Subbed!

Cheers,
Hardon

What's up guys. Everything is still going well. I had to trim some of the leaves off the short girl to get light to the other bud sites. Everything is green and happy. Thanks for tagging along. Any advice on how to keep these guys happy is welcome. Cheers
