Indoor First Auto Grow 4 Strains In 50/50 Coco Perlite

You can't hurt anything watering daily in a 50/50 mix of coco. Google nft, dwc, rockwool ebb and flow, coco dtw drippers as you are growing in hydro not soil. Feeding more often in coco supplies the roots more O2 equaling faster growth. As you have so many seeds started try it both ways maybe, observe growth rates for your self. :pop:

Ok, I'm pretty sure my plants are stunted. This would be almost 2 weeks and they haven't really grown at all in the past week. I am going to pull them and start again. I was planning on trying dwc but after thinking about it I am determined to have a successful coco grow before I move on. Here's a couple pics I just took this afternoon.

Yeah they should be a lot bigger than that for 2 weeks in mate.right, what temps you got in ya tent, lights on and off?? What you been feeding them, and how often?
Don't pull them yet...do you use ec and ph meters?? What's your background ec on your water??

Tent temp runs about mid 70s, light is running 24 hours. I have only given them water at 5.8-6 ph with root booster every other watering from day 3, runoff ph is the same. Only watering when top layer was dry, about once every day and a half. I have a ph meter for now and was going to get a tds meter when I started nutes which most people say to start about the 2nd to 3rd week. Live and learn I guess. I'll probably start another white widow, Ripleys OG, sweet tooth and a green wild shark. I'll wait a week or so before I start another journal for them.

Just started germination of the ones listed above using Mephistos DVD case method I found on the site here. First time germinating out of the medium, I've always started directly in the soil.

Get some food into them.i start giving my plants food as soon as they get their first set of proper leaves.what nutes are you using?? How much have you been watering them with? I would be giving them a litre each every time you water...make sure your getting a good amount of runoff when you water them.so you haven't got a ec/tds metre? So we have no idea what ec your tap water is?? Start feeding them with canna or whatever nutrients you were gonna use, they will fly once you start giving them feed, give them a good 3-4 mls of root atom per litre in with your nutrients aswell.get your light schedule on 20/4...im a big believer that plants need a dark period to grow.i promise you, once they start getting proper nutrients in them, like canna A+B...they will start to fly.light on temps I like around 25 degrees.lights off around 20.with nutrients,I think they would take half a ml of nutes per litre, along with 3-4 mls per litre of root stim.you would want to be giving this to your plants every other day.

I decided on going with the advanced nutrients ph perfect grow/micro/bloom line, which I will be ordering this week along with a tds ec meter. I will definitely try starting off with a very light feeding mixed with the root booster. It's pretty much trial and error for me right now so a couple failures isn't going to deter me from completing a coco grow, I figure I gotta get it right eventually lol. I have a nice little stash of beans to keep trying with, a lot were freebies so the only one of the last batch that I paid for was the Tyrone special and the sweet tooth and gws for the ones I just started germinating yesterday.

hey buddy welcome to afn. sorry to hear your having a bumpy start. its all about trial and error tho mate its the only way to learn. i stunted my plants for the first 2 weeks and again for another week not too long after that. as you can see tho, they will bounce back once the wrongs have been righted. the unfortunate likelyhood is that your first attempt is gonna be full of fuck ups (mine certainly has) so your better to just smash on through. get them all out the way, learn how to fix them and ultimately how to do your next crop a lot better. the guys on here will help you through anything and everything, just gotta persevere, adapt and overcome. im a hydro grower but ill help however i can. have you met @jingo yet? hes a monster mud chucker. check out some of his grows. click on his name. go to profile page, then info, then show all threads. works with everyone but hes the only person ive seen complaining his plants get too big lol.

Thanks for the welcome man. Yeah it's nice to imagine a perfect first grow lol but being my first time in coco I figured I'd run into problems. My last grow was 20 years ago, back when there were limitless places to grow outside and we always used miracle grow and what not lol how times have changed. I believe my light was too intense for them. I gave them a couple more days while I germed 4 more and didn't see any changes so I ended up pulling them. My other 4 popped on the earlier this week and I'm keeping them under 3 100w leds for the first week or so. They're doing much better and also I am using rapid rooters this time. On day 3 they all look better than the last batch at 2 weeks. I figure I'll wait a bit to start another journal just in case lol. I almost went dwc but then decided I'm determined to have a successful coco grow. And yes I've seen some of jingos grows while browsing around. Not sure I'll get any monsters like that yet but I look forward to it in the future. Here's a couple pics of what I have now

yeah mate the leds can be pretty intense. had quite a few issues when getting the hang of mine (2x 270t/w) i found it better to just leave them on the window sill for a few days once they pop. got 1 seedling in the tent just now at a few days old but shes tucked away in the corner, out of the main blast. ill be getting a wee seedling light like a t5 or something similar for my next grow and just bring them on in the bedroom for the first wee while.
