That's the big question, since all they are really doing is taking a bunch of separate chips and bunching them all together. I don't see how they can spread the light AND get penetration.
When I look at one of my plants (as I am now its done) all I see is big beautiful buds
and I don't much care about the rest. As for penetration...that comes later.

With respect to nutrients, are there any guides or references you guys can point me to?, what are the needs to knows, what are the basics? I also need to know what basic equip I should have, e.g. ph meter, hygrometer, etc.
I should probably advise you guys that I will be growing hydroponically, I haven't decided which system to purchase so your input in very much appreciated!

There's a member TaNg who has developed three feed schedules. Just search this site with his name and feeding schedule as your terms.
Those are soil feeding schedules, for some other medium you may need to find a grower who is using that medium.
