Indoor Fire in the Tent! Dragons Breeding..........

Next round! Just put 10 Russian Dragon in tubes to soak. I sent 2 Dragon's Blood Males to the clone cab to live until needed. The other various squatters in the tent will go to the greenhouse shortly!

FOUR MALES.................geez..........lol!

I was going to keep one female just for simsemilla , but I figure I need at least 2 plants for seed. Going to hold off pollinating as long as I dare to get good size buds for lots of seed.

Hurray! I was wrong three females! WoooooHoooo! I'm sending the smallest ( not by much.. ) to the greenhouse to make me some bud! The other 2 I'll let flower for another10 days maybe then pollinate them!

10 Russian Dragon planted today. 4 from the paper towel had tap roots over an inch long, 6 had not sprouted a root yet, but I planted them all any way as I'm going out of town for 2 days, so all seeds soaking get planted today.

Update:

My ladies are doing fine and in full flower! I'll wait another week then pollinate them. got a good looking Cheessus Dragon in with them that I'll ship off to the greenhouse later today. AND...... we have 3 Russian Dragon Seedlings sprouted! Waiting on 6 more, hope to get at least a couple more!

Males are pouring out pollen in the clone cab! I'll collect pollen tonight but I figure I can keep ytthem alive another week so that I can give the girl's a good dusting.
I've got one , good sized female near the back of the tent. She's my main momma. I'm going to send the smallest female to the greenhouse and pollinate just the 2 bigger females.

I'll get some bud shots tomorrow. Still tired from our trip to NH..........and that's a story in itself!

You are a busy man Pops, galavanting all over the country AND growing tons of stuff, and a breeding project, sheesh. It's making me tired just reading your threads

:coffee:

Lookin' good Pops!

Our Russians had an excellent germ rate 19 of 20...we wound up with 11 girls...close to harvest now.
The girls in the orange cups are Russians, blue are Frost Dragons.

We have some already drying to test....I can't wait!:smokeit:

Hi Root! Lol, I was nervous leaving my ladies for 2 1/2 days......... I'm hoping for a good germ rate on the RDs but they are old seed so I'd be happy with 6.
Yea, I like to keep busy maybe one day I'll be able to have a big greenhouse! I'd love that! But ya know, growing in soil organically, there really isn't much to do, water and watch them grow! And I'm considering setting up all my pots to be be bottom watered. Going to test a couple pots to see how they do. If they do well, I'm going to build large trays for the greenhouse and set them up that way also. Then I can go away if need be and not have to rush home to water plants. I think bottom watering to be a reliable way to water continuously verses a drip system. I'm going to setup a 3 gallon pot in the greenhouse shortly to test this.

WOOOOOOOOO! Look at that frost!

I am a big fan of bottom watering too...but not sitting in water...especially with how hott it has been here lately.
I'll definitely be watching your tests. :pop:

Outside has challenges all its own...A variety of beneficial and non beneficial insects that I will never be able to remember which are which...but we have many many frogs, praying mantises and humming birds to battle those. The deer have eaten all of my plants they can reach on the outside of the garden...have to think like a deer when building fences/barricades. And finally the rippers!...we moved the garden and it's hopefully more secure.

I Love the freedom of growing outside. :cools:

I got to say, I love my little greenhouse! I put an oscillating fan on one end and a box fan blowing out a window on the other. It keeps things reasonable in the on hot days. I've had a few bugs get in, but very few. I have a couple toads loving in and among the pots lol! This year with so much rain, humidity was a problem. I found one spot of bud rot. Weather finally is nice so looks like my buds will survive another week till i chop!
I'm thinking the next crop will be much better. I started these too soon their nearing 100 days. So Sat. they get the axe no matter what! I've got 11 seedlings now sprouted and I might pop a couple more dragons!
