Lighting Finished my Mars to Cree today

First off thank you @Atulip for all your help..
It was actually a pretty easy build.. The two hardest things to do we're get the glass off and get the solder to stick to the cree's. I did use some existing screws and fabricated some pieces to hold the heat sinks in tight.. I am ordering the parts to do two more but this one is way way brighter then two of my Mars 300's combined 19000 Lumens vs 4700 for each Mars.. These are 3500 k great for flower but will work fine for both flower and veg...

Looking good and it's great to see this as I have a 96x5 reflector torn apart as we speak I'm just waiting on the extra $200 for my cobs lol. I also am glad that you showed as many pictures as you did even more would be good too. Gives me an idea of where I might find problems and I want to figure out something better to mount the cobs to the heatsink.... Like a holder or something so it looks pretty. They all have tape like you have and I also have, lol but I want to find a way....

Edit: I was also stuck on which to order 3500k or what.... I'll be doing 1 then the other after so as long as my tent space doesn't increase I'll have 1 backup light always.

I used Arctic silver 5 to mount the COB's the tape is just there to hold it in place.. I will leave it on .. I did buy the holders for them but dam if I had the tap to put them on so I went this route ...

lovely pics mate, what does it look like running on its own? I take it you have other leds in there aswell? purple light on the floor and sides.
an that artic silver stuff is the best mate, it really is, its made such a difference with my old Apollo led. I don't get leds popping at all now and I got some hot running whites in mine, not cobs tho, standard 3watters, 4500K

sweeeeet bro. lovely. heres a pic of my modded led, still running strong now, I use it for mainly germinating and the first 3 weeks of growth but it has been through a full auto grow with a bubba kush auto,. did really well. I just wanted more leds tho lol.
blinding job tho bro, outstanding. a lot easier to convert a led then build one from scratch imo.
