Lighting Finally building my COB

Awesome light, Nice build.
I can't tell by the picture which driver you used, another question, did you run these cobs in parallel or in series? by the pic with the wiring it looks like it could be in parallel. But again hard to tell. Either way it turned out amazing.
Hi.. The drivers are the meanwell 185h-48 series... They are wired in parallel...

@Adam & Cola i posted the specs for the 1812 cobs and the drivers on page 1 .. That info is from the website

Bro if it's your house get a core drill and drill through your wall add a vent cap on outside of house . Like 30 min I'm telling u I used to put in radon systems . I could run a pipe anywhere in your house lol.

If you haven't got the money for a cob build buy a 96 reflector man. Like 150 bucks

Why did you give it up? I still test but never got into installations. Licensing here is a bitch though, shoulda been an MD

Hi.. Yes im happy with it.. Plants are thriving and healthy, this may also be attributed to the fact that they are getting even light coverage.. The HID are not horrible lights, but the effective footprint was a bit small and in the summer the temps were on the high side.. My room issue is that since its in a basement,i dont have a means to run an inline fan to vent heat which is also the reason i dont grow in tents.....i'll add a pic later tonight as i have company right now...
The only downfall to running a vent outside is the air exchange. What ever you blow out is brought back in. If it's cold in the winters you'll be drawing that cold air into your house. Same when it's hot and your trying to cool, your drawing in warm air. Lots of people overlook air exchange.

Good point.. And because of that.. Im glad i never had to struggle with it( besides with the HID) .. An open window (in my grow) provides enough needed air exchange...monitoring temps now and they are around 70F.. I'll keep monitoring the changes and see how the lower temps affect growth.. Im sure ill be fine thru summer this year cause the basement is ambient at around 68F...

I'm sick of crawling in basement and fucking myself up. Bad knees and a steel ankle don't work in crawlspaces brother

Simple fix if u don't wanna use it . It's called a damper and u shut it .
