Lighting Upgrade DIY COB lights or Purchase new lights

Good looking out Damien, While looking at arrow I also found these https://www.arrow.com/en/products/si-b8u15156cww/samsung-electronics?q=SI-B8U15156CWW . They are 3500k versions but they are really cheap as well. Looks like I am going to to end up using my current COB setup for veg, since the leds are 3500k, and go with the 4000k Samsungs that you linked for flower. I'm also looking at the https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/MEAN-WELL/HLG-240H-24A?qs=Pc4kzEvJlcTa%2Bof/rhqkdA== as the driver, though it seems to be a lot of power for 6 led strips. Your thoughts on the driver?

I see that you guys have a lot of posts providing advice, but didn't see anything on your light builds. Do either you guys have a post showing how your light build went?

I'm going to start the build soon as I just popped tangilope today, giving me a good 5-6 weeks to get it ready.

You need 12-15 strips in parallel to cover the 240h driver but 6 is enough for 120w driver. The super cheap strips run at 16w minimum.

The pic above that I posted was of my Bridgelux EB build over my current grow

Damien it has been quite a while. However I finally got the light built, I will try posting some pics later this week. I ended up going with 13 Samsung 16W led strips with a 240 driver. It doesn't seem as bright as the 4 COBs that I had before, so I grabbed a lux meter from work. From about 18 inches the Samsung measures 26,000 LUX at max power, the COBs are 44,000 Lux. If I bring the Samsung lights to about 4 inches I can get a reading of 37,000 Lux. Everything I read so far says that the Lux reading should be between 45,000 and 65,000 in flower stage.

It seems like I should run the COBs in flower and stripes in veg...Your thoughts?
