New Grower Finally after 5 year of waiting, decided it's time for a new Grow.

Thanks Bob, on the third watering how much orgatrex, I'm growing in 10 litres pots?
also do you want me to add bactrex in third watering with orgatrex?

Thanks mate for looking in. :d5:
For now, let the soil dry out as discussed ealier. Next (first) watering you add 1 teaspoon of Bactrex per Liter water. Use dechlorinated water = tapwater which has been bubbled for 24hours. For a 10L pot, which is dry, I would use 1L of the mixture. Then you wait and do the finger test. Put your index finger until the knuckle into the sand. If the tip of your finger feels cold or even wet, then there's still moren then enough water in the soil.
When the soil feels dry at your fingertip you can give your second watering, just plain (dechlorinated) water. Third watering you add 1 teaspoon Bactrex and 10ml Orgatrex to 1L water. Keep shaking it until you want to give it as to optimize oxigen uptake in the liquid and use up within four hours.
After this, you should see a serious improvement on your plants. Please don't add any nutrients as there's more then enough in the soil already

Thanks again Corum, like you say a drip system would be best. I don't have one at the moment as you can tell :coffee2:
I do try and water slowly, but nowhere near as slow as 30 mins for 1.5 litres. I usually water around 3 litres in 35 mins or so.
But I will take your advice and slow it down more and water more towards the middle of the pot in a circle.

I agree that this grow bag gets run off quickly, after 3 litres there is run off, either out of the side or the bottom.
I was watering all around the bag, not as you suggested.
I'll water a litre slowly round the centre, take a break, come back weigh, etc until I get some run off.

I don't have a deep tray that would work.
I'll have a look around see if I can pick one up.
Thanks again
3 liters, can I ask how often you water that amount? that may change the issue to Over watering, soaking the roots too much and a bit of root rot????

I use 28cm bags approx 25ltr, so probably about 20ltrs in each bag, As a general rule of thumb I give only 1.5 liters at a time, which is probably every 2-3 days during initial growth, and once a day during max veg period, then every other day during flower, additional water if the bags feel too light and miss a day if they feel heavy.... Nothing is written in stone, there is a degree of on the spot decision making involved, if it gets too warm (these bags evaporate a lot more than plastic containers) if one plant is faster/bigger than the others etc... ,

I am not saying I am right in what I do, or that what I do is right for you, but it generally works well for me. Also, do remember I only grow photo's.

Thanks Courm for the reply, I had only just upped it to 3 litres but I gave that last water of 3 litres only 2 days after the previous watering, as the soil felt dry and quite light, I had been watering around 2.5 litres every 2 days, as it had been quite hot.#
Maybe it is a bit of overwatering.

Damn, I should have watered last night, she is looking a bit sorry for herself. Drooping leaves etc.
its just a question of "the learning curve & finding what works for you" after a while it become natural to use whatever methods work best for you,
Then you find another strain and the "learning curve" starts all over. this is probably why I stick to Photo's... its what I know, and tbh I am a lazy bugger when it comes to learning new shit. :baked:

But maybe next time i will try a couple of Auto's, although I have been saying this for a few years already.

A dry day will not do a plant much harm, if anything it force's the plant to push out some roots hunting for water, which is a good thing imho, not so much during flowering though.

Mine's well into the flower, though, but she should recover, apart from the dried shrivelled leaves, but this was already starting to happen on a few leaves.
Oh well, live and learn.
In my environment, I think the plant drinks around 1 litre of water a day.
