New Grower Finally after 5 year of waiting, decided it's time for a new Grow.

I vent into my lung room during my grow season(fall/winter/spring), the additional humidity in the lung room is usually beneficial when the heat is on.

I exhaust in my lung room as well. I just make sure its not close to my intake. Keep it up high

I vent back into the lung room. Although I would base that on how large the room itself is. My tent sits in the back half of a basement. It stays 50% RH and 60-70F most of the year. Intake and exhaust on opposite sides. Lots of airflow since their are intake/return and ventilation ducts all over. It was supposed to be finished but never was.

It sounds like your basement should be ideal, my grow room is in small room with windows.
That should do the same trick if not better I have windows but they never open.. I just don’t want you to spend the time and money to have the same issues

So when you have a minute maybe take read through LS from today theese quotes should take you there:thumbsup::d5: I am not sure what to say now it might not be needed but also may not be a bad idea:shrug::wall: This is what MOG told me and has me questioning my setup mainly cause I run at least 6 plants at a time but at the same time frank has me questioning venting outside cause when the carbon filter goes bad you cant really tell and you are pumping the smelly air outside to the public

Good Morfnoevight All You Happy Thursday Live Stoners!

If you have any plants from clones from California (in fact world wide now) you need to read this:

Outside always, you would not believe how fast 6 plants can deplete the available c02 in a small space. Even dropping down to 200PPM from 400PPM can slow the growth and reduce the yields from your plants.

One issue I’ve always had with venting outside of the house, is when your carbon filters go……well, you get the rest. A decent grow with no carbon filters can be smelled outside of the house as it is….imagine pumping that shit out :yoinks::yoinks:

What about installing vents through the floor above?

Thanks
Lil d, I don't think low co2 is the problem, I have a co2 monitor and it always sits around ambient co2, around 400ppm.
I think when I vent into the same room pathogens or something from the grow are being recirculated through the grow, causing plant health issues.

My last grow up to now, has ended up being a fail.
The buds are just not very strong, only a little flavour and smell.
Growing where I am or how I am is just not working out for me.
I need to vent the air somewhere else apart from the grow room.

I tried to see if I could grow in the next room which has a window, but the window is massive.
I thought to cover the window with some type of wood, but I couldn't get any in size.

I could get plastic, but that would cost me £190.
So back to not knowing what to do.

I though about opening the window and door of the next room and trying that with a plant or two.
It seemed to work ok before, back when I fist tried growing in 2016, though that window was in the same room as the grow tent.

I'm at the mercy of the natural humidity of the outside air though.
Anyone think it would be ok?

I just don't want to really start drilling holes in the walls or ceilings unless I really have to.
I'm crap at DIY

Like I said before I have a drier vent downstairs but it vents directly to the outside and it's giving me red flags.
The Police walk by the road at the bottom of the garden regularly.

Sorry for ramble, it's just doing my head in. I know how nice good weed can be.
I managed it before in 2016, though it was only 1 plant out of three that was extra special,
but I only grew 1 plant at a time then.

Hey. You can't just have the door a little open and the tube sticking out a bit? Just to have some air exchange. Or maby not possible.
I to have a small room with no window. And i do this. I have a small tent though.
Bit problematic with the smell this grow though but actually solved it by buying some odore remover. Oda gel. Never expect it would work. But Jesus awesome thing. A really good thing together with the carbon filter. Prob not much help from me, but never know.

Sounds to me as if you are over thinking it and looking for issues that might not actually exist. (of course I might be completely wrong) :baked:

my advice would be to cut down on everything and go back to basics, and K.I.S.S.

Clean everything with bleach or H2O2.

then, 1 tent, good seeds, soil/perlite, basic nutes, a good exhaust fan and carbon filter and follow the easiest, basic and most straight forward guide you can find, either here or any other site, GWe for instance, drop all your habits, dump everything you think you have learned, put the deep science to the side.

it just happens that sometimes we get caught up in a loop of thought and practice that is not quite right for us and the loop makes it hard to step out.

So again, for your own peace of mind and general growing health, go back to basics and K.I.S.S
than take it from there.

Thanks, some good advice.
