Fimming vs Topping...whats the real diff?

Ya I would agree if u can do it without stressing em then 4 would def be preferred over 2.

Tx..
Im not a pro grower, just my 2 cents..

I never saw a differrence in stress if i fim or top. Tbh if plant is green n healthy a top wouldnt cause any stress or stall at all.

And I feel your comment is based on reading more than experience mate no offence.

For me personally. The third branch suck. Creates an un even canopy and basicaly weirds out the plants structure, not that it matters with an extensive veg period / scrog... just my ocd and personal preference.

@damian.. talked about stress already.... One cut wont stress a healthy plant. And an unhealthy plant shouldnt be cut at all!

Also you cant be sure if u get 3 or 4 tops from a fim which makes it unreliable if you plan on heavy training like mainlining..

Again... Not a pro grower, just my 2 cents over 5 years and 20-30 plants... Cheers pals

It definitely is! Haven’t grown anything since like 1999 and u know the crap that was around then! Once mine get along a couple more weeks may be chopping mine with 1 method or the other. As long as they are healthy enough for it.

No joke. Mexican brick seed! Grows pretty plants though. My largest was damn near 12ft. at a guerrilla grow. You shouid have seen the plants hanging out the back of the pick-up! At 3am! Driving lights out at mach 2!

Mine got to 6ft and then the guy who’s closet they were in had an apartment maintenance guy knock and thought it was security so threw em out the 3rd floor window! Was def Mexican bagseed tho.
