Hey Jackal & Killa! Thanks for the comments guys! I appreciate you checkin' out the kids! VERY excited about this group of plants. Can't wait to hit the road and get some dirt tomorrow!! WEEEEE!!! :D

Lookin' good, bro. The mutant gets more interesting every time I see her.

Hey JD! Thanks man! Yeah she's FUN to watch grow for sure! She has bud sites everywhere man! When she starts shootin' more pistils I'll get some cool pics. So I couldn't help noticing you said you aren't that impressed with the LW... Should I not waste my time then and just get more OF and change this to a male/female ratio grow geared to OF? I have done so well with it so far and I strongly value your opinions and experiences... If I'm doing so well with FFOF should I bother with the LW?? I have enough beans to do it, it's just a question of time and effort. But, I also want to contribute to the AFN community so this comparison isn't just really all for me so... LOL Dang Bubblegum got me paralyzed by analyzing too much again!! hahaha

The jury is still out for me on the LW. I haven't given it much of a chance.

IMO (shared by many), I'm not smart enough to out-think the experts at Fox Farm. The oldest seedlings I have in the LW are a week old. They have excellent color and are very healthy looking. They just don't seem to be as far along after a week as my others have been (except the ones I tried to kill one time). But, I really like the beneficial microbes and humic acid that's in the LW and it is light, light, light... I mean light! I have to mist the top of the LW (not the seedling) about three times a day to keep it from drying up and blowing away. LOL

FFOF may be fine to start femmed seeds in but, the one time I used ferted mix for seedlings I went from 70/30 fem/male ratio, previously, to 2 out of 10. Many others report similar results. But, there are credible growers who start seedlings in ferted mix/soil and swear by it. If it works for you, who am I to disagree with you doing it? :D

As for me, I am always reluctant to go against the majority, unless I am an accomplished expert. I'm not an expert at this, by any stretch. :peace:

I can't wait til I get a chance to grow mine out. You have really got me wantin' some of that!

:crying: :crying: why oh why?!?! I don't know what I did to piss off the Cannabis Gods but the Mutant... She's a damn HERMI. I was hoping this wasn't going to happen but it did. However, the pollen sacks are only on the lower three branches... Can I chop them off and be fine? Or is that going to be pointless and make the balls pop up someplace else then? I don't know anything about hermi's, this is my first one. I know what they are, what I don't know is do they show up in specific spots or are they everywhere there are pistils too? Because I don't see them everywhere... YET. I'm gonna have to chop this bitch/bastard now. I'm so disappointed. Oh well, I got LOTS of others to be happy about!!! But yeah it took me a few hours to get on here and tell you guys. We were so pissed.

I also don't know if this was just this one seed or it's the FFOF. I'm still going to try the LW. Fuck it. Also, I definitely have ONE female in the current bunch. The other SR female still hasn't shown any pistils. She's identical to the other one and I thought I saw calyxes but they have yet to pop any pistils. The Assassin still looks great. I hope it's a she! I have yet to check my other beans germing today. I will in a few. If I can't cut those branches and be ok i'm gonna chop her. I need her dirt anyway. This really sucks tho. I was really hoping to get some zips off of her. Oh well, the grow must go on!!! DOWN WITH THE HERMI!! :ama:

hey bro sorry to hear about the hermie but way to take it in stride.

Can I chop them off and be fine?
eweee! I don't like the way you put that. LOL

When you go to the hydro shop, ask about Dutch Masters "Reverse". You don't have to kill her.

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but, if you saw something that looked like a calyx on a plant that young, the news is probably not good. :(

Must be a Fox Farm issue. My last couple bags of FF I bought, plants looked EXACTLY like yours. Now, I've had some good grows in FF, but it's getting worse and worse, to this. No matter how much perlite I added, or Light Warrior mixed in, it turned to mud and suffocated the roots, and stayed wet for long periods of time. I got 3/4 males after two weeks. I've since stopped using soil and couldn't be happier.

I just bing'd that Reverse. So you spray the whole plant or just the leaves? Do you spray the pollen sacks? Is this Organic? If not will it mess with my grow? These are all questions I could ask a store rep I'm just thinking out loud.

I should've been more clear about the other SR. All 3 SR's (including the Mutant) are the same age. Just a few days over 4 weeks. That's about right as far a sexing goes I believe. The male did show first, just a little over 3 weeks. His death date is exactly a week ago now. The 2nd SR and the Mutant showed pistils about a week ago. Now today the Mutant has pollen sacks and the 3rd SR that is identical to the 2nd has similar features and I figured she was a female because she has calyxes but no pistils yet. That's my fault for putting the cart before the horse! So I'm wondering if it's going to auto is my question. It should've shown pistils or something by now! Yeah the mutant showed pistils exactly one week today and today it shows pollen sacks.

Just for the record too and it will make you feel better JD... I meant chop the BRANCHES with that have the pollen sacks on them off... Not just chop the balls off lol  Sorry for the mix up! lol

I think you just spray it on the sacks. I haven't used it (haven't had a hermie indoors) but my friend has and it did work.

That's very considerate. I may just be able to get over that now. LOL

Got any pics of those "calyx's"? I'm really curious as to what you're looking at there...
