New Grower Fabric Pot Nightmares !!

So I covered the soil in pebbles today and it actually helps quite a lot. Seems to control the flow of water a little.

Auto pots are what hempy buckets want to grow up to be........lol!

I've tried every type of pot I could find. I've done DWC. Since I started using auto pots a few months ago, I've ditched all my other pots! My plants have never been bigger or better. And I can go away for a few days or a week and not have to have someone come water ( we all know how well THAT can work out... ). I still use a couple regular pots for soil but I'm mostly done with hand watering, spending time everyday guessing how much water they need, etc.

here's a little male I grew in auto pots...........

Very nice, what did she yield ?

I think there are a few people missing the point here. The whole issue is having to water slowly is not ideal when doing multiple plants. I accept watering slowly is the only solution I have come up with this far and is what I meant when I said watering in dribs and drabs (small amounts at a time). my question was has anybody come up with a solution for watering in fabric pots so they can water as normal?

Also spillage isn't always just from the top it can be from the side halfway down the pot.

I think watering quickly is not normal watering.

I think watering quickly is not normal watering.
Growing plants in pots indoors is also not normal for a plant that is designed to be under natural light and in the earth. We always strive and step outside of the norm to try and make out lives easier. Think outside of the box.

If you insist on watering quickly, but you can't without losing water through the sides, use plastic pots.

If you read back you will see I had found a solution that helps a lot so I will continue to use the fabric pots for now

Pebbles!

If you water in concentric circles starting at the base the absorption outward will gradually moisten the outer part making it more receptive.

Thanks for the input

You might want to look at a BluMat self-watering system, it would keep the soil nice and moist and you'd just have to dump a bunch of water in a central tub or something.

Yeah I'd actually like to see a true side by side comparison. I currently have 2 plants same strain growing in one fabric and one plastic pot. But the fabric pot is way bigger so the plant is also bigger. I think I may trial 1 of each the same size on my next run.
I have the same experience. I have been very found of my 10 L air pots.
However, now I am not sure i what direction to proceed. I have 6 FastBuds Green Crack in pairs of two in identical container but different nute line. Danish Big Plant Science nute line to the left and Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and AN additives.

In the next grow, I may take another FB strain in air pot and smart pot and one of my Vision Seeds strains and do the same.

My biggest problem with fabric pots is the difficulty with LST.

Look at the differnces between pots.
12 L bricklayer bucket $1

18,5 L (5 gal) gronest smart pot $5

10 L air pot. $10. The plants has been slighlty LST'ed, but they are generally shorter and more bushy the plants in the other containers,
