New Grower Extremely low-budget grow | 40W | Delahaze |

Yeah screw the crazy freight lol. This is much more fun actually seeing what 40w will make haha :) Actual use might even be close to 25w cuz you know they never drive these things full strength. Anyways it's looking great bro! I'm tempted to try a full plant in my little diy pc seedling chamber haha. Will post a funny pic of it for laughs and comparison when the lights come on :)

Well, your post got me to thinking about how much power the lights really draw. I poached someone's fancy gadget that told me just that.

So yeah, pretty bad. For a single LED without the splitter adapter the power factor was 0.39.
But if it works then I guess it works. *shrugs*

I might get some 15W LEDs for the next grow and see how they perform. They're twice as expensive, though.

This has been a fun grow to read !

Just finish all the 11 pages and I am going to be watching it to the end :D

reminds me of when I was a teen and build a grow box into a wall cabinet where I lived with my dad and some how got away with 1 and half year until I got busted and that was with a normal cannabis strain :)

some random bag seed and florescence tube lights on the side and a single CFL on the top :p

Looking great bro, now the fun at the net begins!:Sharing One:

Nice grow so far! Planning on starting a cabinet grow cant decide on cfls or led but will def be watching how yours turns out!

Amazing Grow beautiful.
Please advice me. During the 12/12 makes plants grow slowly during veg, right?

have you considered one of these http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1X-W...atables-Green-Led-Grow-Lights/1911977694.html free shipping and they will customize the spectrum at no extra charge. 17 watts actual power is pretty bad for a "40 watt" bulb. very interested in seeing your results. I am a low budget grower but not by choice LMAO

Hmm... I'm not really sure. Mine has been a bit slow from the very beginning but I did have a high soil pH at first and weak lighting.
With optimal equipment I don't think it would make a lot of difference.

Well, I've thought about more powerful LEDs, but I'm severely limited by the power cord I have since it can support up to 60W and it holds all 4 of the LEDs.

The power factor suggests that my current setup draws ~50W but only uses 17W. I don't know if the 50W counts toward the 60W maximum but if that is the case I might not be able to even use 4x15W. I can't find a better cord anywhere and adding more would be inconvenient.

I was thinking about getting a UFO in the future after I get a carbon filter. I'm gonna run this grow through as is and then see what I can improve.

Making nice progress. Some of the budsites have already grown through the net. It takes a lot of arranging stuff to get light to some of the budsites because she's gotten a bit too bushy for her own good.

Last night I thought I caught a hint of mango in the air. Despite Paradise Seeds denying the supposed heritage (California Lemon Skunk x Mango Haze), people claim there are at least two phenotypes. One is the mango smelling phenotype and it is considered better than the other which smells like citrus. Dunno...

Oh, and of course the grow wouldn't be complete without the soil getting overly acidic at some point. I got an idea to water her with melted snow because I thought it might be as magical as rain water. Not sure about magic but I noticed it was really acidic with a pH of under 6.

I'm pretty sure there are going to be problems soon. As an attempt to correct the issue I sprinkled some wood ash on the soil and watered a little bit more. What happened when I used a lot of wood ash during my last grow was that the plants got too much potassium and presumably locked out some stuff, including calcium. I'll have to watch it this time. My plan is to try some baking soda too. The p&p is too high to buy only some 'real' pH up and besides, it fits the nature of this grow to experiment with household alternatives.
