1) Just using basic soil, ive heard that germinating in pre nuted soil will cause problems, what if i germinate in a wet tissue, and just put in basic basic growing tomato mix whatever bullshit, in a slightly large pot (to keep size down), and add some extended release nute beads in there at about 1 month when it starts flowering

Keeping it under 20/4 light cycle and 125watt of 2700k light (throughout the entire process), just watering whenever i see fit

Will this be alright? or do i need the ph meters and all that? i dont see why peas/tomatos etc can grow fine in the basic soil but the weed will fail... is this a bad idea or what?

TLDR: Basic store brought soil, no nothing, some nutes later on, basic basic, will be fine?

Also, say i am growing in a PC case, if i dont have room, can i just clip any excess cola's that try to form and try to keep one neat and tidy main cola? will this hurt the plant or she'll be right? thankyou in advance for any advice

I have learned that if you don't do it right, you are gonna fail and it gets very fustrating. They say if you use Bottled PH controlled water you should be ok, but then your soil PH may be out of whack and it will result in bad results.

I have failed two times before the grow I'm doing now. I had very little knowledge and was very impatient. It cost me some good money when the seeds I bought got fried and didn't do squat.

From what I have learned, PH is very important for marijuana.

I would suggest that you spend some time reading posts on this forum. Fall Duplex has a good thread and if you go in to the new growers area, you'll learn a great deal.

There is alot of knowledge here on this forum if you use it. I am still learning and hoping to have my first successful grow.

The people on here are first rate and they'll help you. I don't have enough experience to advise you or anyone else, but I can comment on the causes of my failures.

Good luck brother and read as much as you can and you'll start to understand why PH and good soil is needed.

Here's the thread and also read the next two;

EXTREMELY basic first time grow

I grow basic all the time.
Shop bought universal compost..potting compost if you are in the US.

I used to grow without checking the PH..they grow..but they do Better if their ph is Correct.

PH is more important the ferts..coz if the ph is not right..it won't absorb the ferts anyway.

in a slightly large pot (to keep size down),

Not sure what you mean by this...
keep the size down of what..?

But..if you plant into a Large pot..it will save transplanting.

add some extended release nute beads in there at about 1 month when it starts
flowering
IMO..I don't like ferts in the soil..and I would advise you to get some good TOMATO fert..and water it in..twice a week when they are in flower
you gotta water them anyway..so it is no hard work...

can i just clip any excess cola's that try to form and try to keep one neat and
tidy main cola? will this hurt the plant or she'll be right?

Yup...you Can.

More people Hurt Autos by germing into pre-ferted compo..Then ferting the F-k outta them...WHY........You will grow better with this basic set-up than they do..

Speed & Safety for them..:wiz:

Thankyou so much,

so basically digital PH meter, adjust PH with citric acid and baking soda

get some potting mix and germinate in that, and water with tomato liquid nutes every so often?

is using pre fertilized soil a total fail (if the PH is right...?)

If you're hell bent on using pre-fert soil, at least pick up some seedling mix too. Fill container 2/3 full with your pre-fert soil, than fill remainder with seedling soil mix. Pre-fert can burn a seedling but doing the way I described, at least they'll have a better chance of survival.
Nothing wrong with going basic especially with a first grow. Less things to worry about.
Most likely after your first harvest, you'll want to 'tweak' things a bit to improve your harvest next run.
There is a micro grow section here, specifically for growing in tight spaces like pc cases - might want to check it out.
Good luck! glad to hear that you're taking the initiative & trying to grow your own. It's really not hard to do.
With every grow you'll learn more & more - Enjoy the ride!
Welcome!

Thankyou so so much for your EXTREMELY helpful advice, thankyou again

what country do you live in so product advice can be given better

Basic's always been good for me, mate. If you're just after a good smoke without worrying about super yields you should be fine as long as you keep an eye on things. You don't necessarily need all the pH stuff, etc. -the only problem is, if things start to fuck up, you'll have more trouble determining what's causing it. Some general gardening experience will go a long way in sorting things out.

You're right to wonder if tomatoes and peas can grow in simple conditions, why not cannabis? Well, it can and it does... But as long as you know how to grow tomatoes and peas....

Best of luck...

Australia... this is so exciting, in the US you guys can find dank, in australia, nobody has heard of AK, nobody knows what dank even means

Im really excited about blueberry, ive read like 50 reports and i still have no idea what it'll be like... the taste that is : P

Sounds cool you will be a trend setter then any your milkshake will bring all the boys to the yard!
on tomato feeds i do not know any aussie brands but an liquid organic nute with seaweed would be a step in the right direction. Soil wise you will need a seedling cutting mix and a potting on mix pref one with good drainage and not time release fert

try to have a quick search on ozstoners for potting brands that work with cannabis
