The Basics

Day 12 in autopots. I started reservoir about 18 hours ago. Filled it with 8L of distilled water with the following recipe.

  • 1ML/L Sensi Cal Mag
  • 1ml/L Voodoo juice (last dose)
  • 1.5Ml/L Sensi Grow A+B
  • 1Ml/L B52
  • 0.5ML/L Rhino Skin
Crystal Candy pot is very heavy, and she looks overwatered.. the pot is like 4 times heavier then Mazar and GP wich are air domed. seems like Mazar and green poison are not taking as much water as crystal candy. Crystal candy is the only pot that is not air domed.. any toughts on that?

They are getting big in the small tent, my flowering Green Poison needs to finish fast so i can switch them to the other tent!

Yes, all those AN supplements (or alternative equivalent products) are essentially needed. For beneficial microbes, you might look at more cost-effective options, such as HydroGuard or ReCharge. And you might consider replacing Big Bud with OverDrive (which I and some others use throughout bloom), although you surely can use both as the schedule recommends.

Perhaps for base bloom nutes consider using AN's new pH Perfect Connoisseur Coco Bloom A&B. Connoisseur Coco is their new top-of-the-line base nutes, designed specifically for coco; it's above the Sensi line; and it doesn't cost that much more.

I am now in my 3nd grow using a Connoisseur Coco Bloom-only regimen from sprouting to harvest, never using Grow base nutes, following a modified TaNg's simple schedule. I have not seen any deficiencies or excesses, and transition from veg. to bloom goes smoother vs. switching from grow to bloom nutes.

I was reading through one of hans's journals and he had problems with the coco line cloging his autopots. you never had a problem with clogs?

Clogging/fouling of lines is mostly associated with organic-type supplements or others more prone to aggregation, forming deposits and/or supporting microbial growth. This particularly includes supplements not specified for hydroponic use. For example, you mentioned HydroGuard (stabilized microbial cultures) and ReCharge (cultures plus additives including molasses; more prone to line clogging).

Plus, your reservoir of rmain line should have a filter. And you should inspect and clean/flush everything at least every few weeks. For me, simply blowing through the lines worked well enough to clear any clogs.

Thanks for the tip! :) :thanks::slap:

If the res runs dry, so will the lines, and then they'll clog. Made that mistake once or twice...lol! I use a 30ml syringe and fill it with water, works great to flush the lines.

Any updates on this? It was just getting good. :pass:
