Grow Mediums explosive autopot grow! newbie autopot grower

For cal-mag, I and many others use CALiMAGic. AN's cal-mag is really called cal-mag-plus or something similar, with it having a good amount of N in it (best avoided in additives if can, particularly during bloom). Any decent brand silicates/Si source should be comparably usable, substitutable for Rhino Skin if desired. During veg and early bloom, besides feed watering, I foliar feed (Transport) cal, mag, Si and often base nutes too (if the plants look like they can take more than their 2-2.5 mL/L base nutes feeding).

Hey Bll. I just got off the phone with AN support and I asked about using growtek silica with Sensi AB since I have a lot of of protek silica.

I decided I'll be trying AN and laying off the Remo stuff for a bit. Getting the AN Sensi AB Perfect PH tomorrow and wanted to get some details on silica. AN Rhino has a PH of around 5.8 I think or so. Whereas Growtek is like almost 8. So have to be aware of what your silica PH is if not using Rhino. When you are using the AN base nutes. If your silica has an extreme PH value, it might mess up the AN Perfect PH formula. That could be a huge difference maker or factor actually.

I am using coco amended with biochar, mycos and EWC and wanted to get the AN COCO Sensi line but it's not available at my store so I'm getting the regular Sensi. The support person said that non Coco AN nutes work in both soil and coco. Also use smaller dose of calmag (ppm should be around 150 inclusive of your water and calmag).

And the AN coco line is only good for coco, not soil. So seems to me you should get the standard non Coco version if you want options to play with your medium.

Alot of interesting info again! Love this forum :) alot of constructive thinking and information :)

Some news from the garden, no pictures tho. I left for work this morning for my 7 days in. Watered them about 1.25L each of distilled nute water.

Day 5 in autopots
  • 2ML/L Voodoo Juice
  • 1.25ML/L cal-mag
  • 1.25ml/l sensi A+B
  • 0.75ml/L B52
I think PPM were around 600, my friend will visit my plant this weekend and my girlfriend always has a little eye on them even tho she doesnt really want to deal with that. I think Ill be good to start reservoir and air domes when I get back home. They all are looking better everyday, Mazar seems to be loving its new home and the LST job I did on him! Pictures to come in 7 days :p

Hard to tell with that picture, but they look pretty darn happy to me. Must be liking that feed you got going.

Yeah, thats whats fun with my grow I ask for pics once a week and theres a fun impatience until i get back home, only bad thing is its hard to monitor problems 600KM away. I was wondering if it was worth it to put an airstone in the res? Or needed at all. Not that I cant just wondering if yall doing it.

I aerate my reservoirs. I have two of them. One for grow nutes and one for bloom. And I have an airpump with 16 outputs on the manifold so its no problem to run air to a res and to the air domes too. I have no idea if it adds value or not. As long as putting air in the res is not hurting I'm good.

Thanks, bought a 4 output pump and currently will only be running 3 air domes but was worried about when i will be using 4 pots i would need to plug domes on the same line, wich will bring less air to these two domes. Guess ill figure something out until then
