yup im about to run 25 grams of Dina Haze CBD PRIMO grade A+ buds into BHO today!

Ethanol purification of BHO works very good.
I do it with all extractions. Flavour is not compromised, rather the opposit! I get a clean, floral taste. It also makes the oil harder.

I rinse my tray with 10 ml/96% ethanol per oz of plant material extracted. The sol'n is transfered to parchment and let evaporate. At room temp., 10 ml is gone after 20 hrs.

@derek420colorado tried with iso prop. He told me it did not work well and tasted awful.
Maybe bad taste with iso is due to rests of the solvent? I can look into the chemistry. There are differences between the alcohols. For DNA extraction, both alcs are used, but I don't know why. Probably because they dissolve different impurities in the extract. I'll find out.

...and the final result of just 20 g trim and popcorn. This is the best shatter I have made. Can't wait for my christmas harvest! I have 6 FB Green Crack. The two smallest plants are to be processed to oil. I will have to order a larger extraction tube.

It has a very nice floral taste. And it is potent stuff! Took a large dab last night with the intention of passing out. Went happy to bed after fooling around on the net for an hour or so. Better check my bank account and mailbox, in case I went shopping... This is smokable Everclear - precicely my league.

@derek420colorado, yesterday, when the very reverend @tripaholic88 showed us his monster extract, you asked if it was a live extraction. I will look into it myself, but won't it be much water comming out also? The EtOH will probably carry the water away during evap.

Another thing; is there any differences in extract quality between plastic, steel and glass extraction tubes?

It is mostly THC Bomb Auto in there. Good yield from so little material. Itnis twice as much as I got out before.

I also have THC Bomb as photo. Next photo grow will be THC Bomb and GDP Bay Lotus. Then I make motherplants of both strains.

Next photogrow will be 2 plants of a FastBuds strain and 3 seeds from the surprise box, which statistically will give 1,25 THC Bomb auto.
