Extraction Ethanol Purification of BHO and Dr. Babnik Learning How to Dab

After making my first successfull batch of BHO, I cleaned out the BHO tray with EtOH after scraping and recovered the oil.

After recovery, I was left with a material hard as stone. I was very disappointed, whated to throw it out, but kept it.

Today I showed it to @budelee and @tripaholic88 who could tell me the hard stuff is actually the good stuff.

Now I will dissolve I though was the fine stuff and make it in to the hard stuff. On the pic, the text should be changed.

I would also like @derek420colorado join the discussion and the Most Reverend @HashMaster when he returns to his residence.

Good call to tag a crew together..cause bho is not my specialty i can take a few guesses...this pic is the entire run or just the leftovers??

Can't find my scale... It's here, somewhere. The yield is about a gram from trim and small buds from three plants.

to me its all good.
with bho and other extracts one of the names is often given to its state of consistancy at room temperature.oil,wax,shatter,budder,sugar,cake batter to name a few are just how runny-solid,hard-fluffy it is.colours from clear to black,often the older the material the darker the extract is.lots of variables,if its purged its good regardless of the consistancy of the finished product.

i totally agree with this, but its my understanding this is from the same run i think.. maybe wrong tho i am stoned! haha

I clean it with ethanol every other day. I also have a bonghead that fits and I use it a lot. Two bongheads with pure weed is gooood....

Later, I'll take a more correctly sized dab of my Sativa oil, imported from Spain, and repport. Just have to cook and eat first. Her Ladyship needs real, homemade food. So do I. Easy menu tonight: Chicken fillet with bbq spices on the pan and brown rice.

About the oil.
It's form the same batch. Difference is that the oil I couldn't scape was dissolved in 96% ethanol. When the EtOH had evaporated, the oil had become hardend.

I have dissolved the more viscouse oil in EtOH. It is drying now, so we will see tomorrow.

Still working on finding a dose of oil that really hits. Trying another dose at bed time.
I only do one dab a day since my supply is very limited.
