Simple damn question: How many FLUID ounces in a MELTED 4oz chocolate bar.?
Simple!
All I keep getting is stupid weight to weight answers. DUH! I could do that at 4yrs old!
I've worded it in too many different ways to not get a simple answer.

I have 6 bite sized molds that takes roughly 900ml to fill them all. Just filled one tray with water and measured it.

Anyone have some solid info on this?

Since I'm here, how much coca butter should/could use since I'm decarbing dry-ice hash in the coca butter? I'm using 5.74g to infuse into these bites.


edit...............I found this: A 1/4 pound block of chocolate yields 1/2 cup if melted.

Is this correct?

Would love to try make some edibles using trim and bud but I do not have the slightest clue as how to do it,

Is their an easy way to do it ? Using basic stuff from around the house,

Like decarbing and stuff, would love to give it a go,

Bill, they say it varies per the manufacture. Just melt some chocolate fill the mold and then you will have it exact. Then write it down. You can justremelt the chocolate. There is no waste when you do chocolate. Just put utensils and bowl in the fridge then flake it off after hard. You only need as much cocoa butter to get everything mixed in well. If you have a little more it does not really matter. I would say 4 wafers. The stronger that you make the cocoa butter the better job you must do getting it out of the container. It does not melt as fast as chocolate. As long as you don't burn it, making chocolate is much easier than Gummies.

I just make cannaoil with olive oil or virgin coconut oil to make brownies or cookies.

I'm going to try coconut oil gummies from the Magical Butter Machine website recipies. I have all the ingredients and moulds. I even have gelatins and flavorings but a recreational dispensary opened near me and I have been sampling their offerings and can't get in gear to make my own.

Brownies are easy to begin with. Make your coconut weed oil after decarbing. I then use an Infuzium to infuse the coconut oil easily. Then make your pot brownies with a Betty Crocker brownie mix. Can't even taste any weed flavor. Works with cookie mixes also.

With cannaoil you can make anything an edible that uses oil as an ingredient. I'd like to make fudge but haven't made any since I was a kid. Fudge shops are a big thing in Michigan and dispensaries are carrying infused fudge around here.

If I made pot fudge I would overdose. Chocolate is something I crave but may only eat a candy bar once a year.

Nova and FX machines. The Nova is smaller, the FX is larger. The big advantage with either machine is there is no minimum amount you have to make at once. Nice if you're a small grower. Only downside is price. Kinda spendy.

They do decarb and infusion in one machine with one button push. I'm looking at one as I haven't the time nor the strength to try hash making or other fun stuff. Need to keep it simple and easy. I also have to keep everything out of sight, smell, etc...

It is way easier to use a scale and weigh everything when I make chocolates. Less mess, the odd shape of items before melted and more convenient with dosing and scaling up or down. when I make chocolate 2.7 grams each x 240 per batch. I know how much chocolate and can add FECO in milligrams. I do not weigh the cocoa butter just use 2 wafers.
I learned the convenience of weighing out ingredients and baker's percentages making pizza crust.

Well hell! I nailed the amount with just a little left that I put on parchment paper. It may have been equal to one chocolate bite.
Should be pretty nice.

Decarb in oven on parchment paper on a baking tray for 40 mins to an hour to activate the thc (if you dont have parchment right on the baking tray will work but it sticks to it) Then slow cook it for 3 hours. Tiny bubbles are ok but roiling boil can kill potency. If I use stove I use this method. Crock pot on low for 12 to 24 hours will do wonders also. I use land o lakes unsalted butter if baking baked goods, or any kind of cooking oil works too. Ounce of trim or bud per 4 sticks of butter or 3/4 cup cooking oil. Use all that in a batch of brownies. I call em space brownies. Careful eating em. Lol
