Same here my wells alkaline and ph around 8 but higher ppm mostly iron and it sticks in the medium.any town or city water should be checked. if the ppm is not too high. chlorine will dissipate if water left uncovered. but may not be enough if ppm too high with other things like sulfer, iron,and so on. I am blessed with a good well. with alkaline water that has low ppm, and a ph of 7.5. that is easy to work with.
City water has to have certain things in it to prevent freezing and pipe issues. Depending on how much water you use simple daters will work.My ppm may be good. The reason I say this is, our water is typical river water but the city has large storage tanks made from concrete set into the ground where our water is stored. Just a guess, I really have no idea. I have been lucky a few times on my grows over the last year or so. They did look really good I just never finished them off because I was anxious to smoke them. Like I say 2 days we will know what my ppm is.

was no real qestion,lots of ways to grow a plant.i just thought we could do with an organics point of veiw,or an experienced opinion 
Nice post, mister.Archie . I am miles away from Mr Eyes skill . but I only will grow organic . Where I live back in the day we had some of the best weed here , as time went by most of the guys growing got to old the grow big plots , from then to now the quality took a major nose dive , I even gave up smoking the quality was so bad .Then came a time in my life that I was able to grow at home [ own house ] To cut a long story short -- I now grow the best weed -- all thanks to organics . One of the best comments I get is wow that tastes so good , 2nd shit that is strong Hecno . I do talk to the younger growers and can see there is no pride in what they grow , they are just in it for the money and sad to say they are all chem growers . I started here on AFN 5 years ago , that is how long it has taken me to get to where I am to day -- Why so long -- Because I want to get to the stage of @Eyes on Fire . and I want to understand .what does what . Which brings in mistakes which do not bother me as then I delve into why . I do have 1 disadvantage I have to make a lot of my own stuff and I can't get a number of inputs like you guys , which I don't see as a disadvantage . Because I can't get the inputs I have to work out what I can use from around me . Do I use bottle nutrients -- Yes I do -- But 70 % less than I used to . With the Hi Tec growing , the sad thing is that is the way the world is going .But and a big -- But there is no love there .Just big money , This is the type of area I have around me .

still toying with the idea of starting a worm farm.i have kept my used soil from my last few grows not got round to reusing it yet 
the green was twice the price of the brown 
glad i dont have to meet eejits on scotters that dont even stop,they just hurl yer weed through the window as they snatch the notes from ya hand as they whizz by. unless the 167 is all the one element,but i doubt it
