Indoor E Growers Garden

You gotta be carefull with city water the chlorine kills the beneficial bacteria and hurts your plants. Idk how big and how much money your willing to spend but a RO system might be needed to get your water to where it should be. Also it depends on what you want from your grow. I'd stick to soil until you know your water quality. With coco and hydroponics your water is the most important thing and you could have the nutrient strength right but your base water could be hurting your plants.

I will need to go to a soil grow then. Don't want to invest too much.

I am a gardener. Can you give me a basic amendment list for my batle girls coming up? They are phot and auto. I will be using 3 gallon bags.
You don't need hydroponics to grow great grade a bud. If seen some of the best results with every medium there is and some of the worst results with the most exspensive setups money can buy. It all depends on what grow setup fits and works best for you. For my style of grow, where I am, and the amount of plants i grow hydroponics is easier and cheaper for me that's why I use it. But even with soil your waters ph and ppm play a big role as well. A ppm pen is around 10 bucks and is a very important tool. I do runoff tests to see how much my plant is eating to keep from over feeding her and keeping her in the sweet spot. My biggest mistakes early on where underestimating how important PH and PPM are when growing cannabis. I just helped @FullAuto245 get a RO system and they are very reasonable now price wise. Your water might be ok to use but without testing it first your taking a big gamble. Do you have a friend that can test your water?

Sorry if this is coming off as discouraging that's not my intention I just don't want to see you get half way through the grow and get nutrient lockout from solid buildups and ruin your entire grow. I've seen it happen more times than I can count.

Not discouraging because I want to do this the right way. Getting half way there only to ruin them is exactly what happened too me this time. I need to avoid this. I will have a ppm meter in 2-3 days. This is the valuable info I need. Thanks Tyler. We are getting there.

all grows are diffrent from one another in so many ways its difficult to get accurate advice as well. thats why the ppm and ph and other tools make it easier. You need to know what the variables are before you can accurately decide on what to do. Some growers have a way harder time than others bc of enviromental factors and water hardness ect. and some have it real easy theres no way to tell until you know what your working with.

any town or city water should be checked. if the ppm is not too high. chlorine will dissipate if water left uncovered. but may not be enough if ppm too high with other things like sulfer, iron, and so on. I am blessed with a good well. with alkaline water that has low ppm, and a ph of 7.5. that is easy to work with.

My ppm may be good. The reason I say this is, our water is typical river water but the city has large storage tanks made from concrete set into the ground where our water is stored. Just a guess, I really have no idea. I have been lucky a few times on my grows over the last year or so. They did look really good I just never finished them off because I was anxious to smoke them. Like I say 2 days we will know what my ppm is.

Thanks @Tyler_Durden88 @hairyman @MR magoo :toke:
