New Grower Dwc purple cheese ph droping

I agree it's hard to know without knowing if your PPM has been rising or falling but props for having such a healthy plant without a meter as I would be list without mine lol
I started using liquid silicon at 1ml/l this grow and it has definitely helped stabilise my PH , good luck bro

Ph was super low again, only using the drops to test ph and it was bad. In the red zone so about 4ishSo I did the res change today after work.Only put 2mil micro 3ml bloom and 1mil cal mag per gallon. Hopefully it's not to strong. But all In all plant looked nice and green. I noticed some crystals on the leaves so at least something is happening

Plant looks very healthy! Which GH nutrients are you using, and how much per gallon? How about humidity in the tent?
Over feeding is possible, as is root rot. That said, I almost always get a bit of PH drop late in bloom in hydro, just not down to 4, and not this early. That's a bit concerning.
I've tried Hygrozyme (now called Igrowslime, as that's all it did for me.) Peroxide works ok, but all I use now is a couple drops of bleach per gallon, or 1ml per 10 gal.
You will hear people scream, moan, and throw fits over it sometimes, but it works great, and is dirt cheap. It's actually a micro nutrient.
Currently running at 2 drops per gallon:View attachment 877126

From my old co2 sealed cab in 2013. 1 ml per 10 gal in RDWC. Bone white roots under there!

The more details you can throw at us, the better we can help.

The bleach method sounds interesting. We run hydroguard, but I'm wondering if this could be a cheaper alternative if/when we run out of it..

It has worked extremely well for me. I use tiny amounts, pretty much from day 1, and keep the res temp under 70. I never worry about root rot.
Lots of folks running Hydroguard, SM90, etc. Glad I don't see Hygrozyme mentioned much anymore. Lol.
Lots of ways to get to the same goal. I just prefer a sterile res. "Dead" is something that makes sense to my aging stoner brain. When you get in to the "bacterial herd, micro-fuzz-weenie, double mushroom-cock, pathogen warrior juice", I get confused. (Its chicken shit in water, but it's still smarter than me).

If you can spring it, get a cheap PPM meter. It doesn't even really have to be accurate, just consistent. It is invaluable to check for runaway nutrients. As mentioned upthread a bit, if the nutrients start to accumulate in the tank you'll get a lower pH. Alternatively, just replace the nutrient solution completely (drain/fill) once a week and accumulated unused nutrients will cease to be a problem.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured this was worth tossing in.
