Indoor dwc/nft with dutch passion,and blk

right troops its time for round 2!! been getting some serious withdrawls the last few weeks not having any gardening to do but getting stuck right back into now!

grow kit currently consists of:

1mx1mx1.65m tent
2x 272w leds
1x 600w hps
1x 130w cfl (the big bulbs)
2x gt205 NFT with 4w airstones
1x 10L DWC with 4w airstones
6" and 14" fans
6" extraction and carbon filter
ph metre
ppm meter
temps and humidity meter
water heaters and thermometers for each res
mostly dutch pro nutrients.
grow
bloom
take root
explode
multitotal
+
calmag
liquid silicone
sm-90
brassinolide.
and probably a couple of other things. ive still to look into these beneficial bacteria aswell. i'll be using the d/p feeding schedule for the ratios but ill just be feeding them whatever they can handle.

ill be doing dutch passions auto ultimate in one nft and one of the bigger mephistos in the other. i havent quite decided wich yet. and a bulkseeds big bud in the dwc.

now that ive had my practice run and figured out this hydro malarky my sights are being set a little higher. managed 297g last time so im aiming for at least 250g each from the nfts. the dwc is just a space filler so only want 100g from that.

my last journal ended up a bit of jumbled up mess full of dramas and stress but i hopefully shouldnt have any of that this time round.
getting all my prep sorted over the next couple of days so germing shall commence in t-minus 48 hours. if you have any questions or feedback then please feel free. the more the merrier. get involved folks!

hey buddy dutch passion genetics are awesome! if heavy is what your after then theyre the guys to do it. what seeds you got?

DWC is deep water culture. basically you get as big a bucket as the plant you want to grow. 10L for small, 80L for massive. (not quite that simple but it’ll do for now) fill it with water and blast a lot of air into the water with pumps. hang the pant in a basket at the top of the water and the roots fill the bucket.

NFT is nutrient film technique. i use a resevoir with a shelf over it. the roots grow on the shelf in nothing but air with a slow, steady flow of nutrients over the the roots via a pump in the res underneath so no need for extra air pumps.

hydro sounds hard, looks hard on paper and to be honest is pretty hard for the first half a grow while you figure everything out but its worth it for the yield.its so easy compared to handwatering once you have the
“ahah” moment and everything falls into place.
its painting by numbers once you suss it. i use digital ph and ppm meters to tell me what to feed. number on the meter goes up, you lower the nutrients with straight water and vice versa. easy : ) be glad to help you any way i can if you fancy starting a hydro res. i dont know what your budget is but it can be fairly expensive. well worth it though for the returns : )

well. it looked like the end of my home growing carreer there due to work but circumstance has changed on me yet again so my working away from home job is looking less and less likely for a while at least. on the plus side though it means i get to restock my attic with some more of Dutch Passions finest. contacted them regarding strain info for a photo grow and theyve offered to stump up the beanz for me : ) the wonderful @DutchPassionTony just got in touch to tell me the good news so im chuffed to bits. was really hoping to get an organic run this time round but ive got too much on to be risking anything just now. stick to what i know untill life settles down a bit : ) only had my lights off for a fortnight and im getting itchy as hell though so cant wait to get stuck back into it!! i’ll have another monster on the go in no time woop woop!!!

it’ll hopefully be a good show mate. still not looked into the propper topping techniques for scrogging photos but i think thats all ive gotta learn in a hurry. find out in a few days what beanz ive got once they arrive so ill worry about it then.

Great news Scotsman was a little sad to see your monsters going away for a while but happy times now! top work @DutchPassionTony believing in us growers he's just sent me an award for my auto ultimate, cant wait to see what goodies I've got through the door
