Indoor dwc/nft with dutch passion, and blk

didnt have to deal with it to be honest mate. grew in the attic untill october and switched to my mates spare room now. i struggle to get the tent or res under 30*c most of the time. ive met a very succesful outdoors guy from uk thats got a big list of super sturdy strains that do well in the cold. names something like brock41 but cant find him. ive asked in live stoners to see if anyone knows who he is. let you know if i find him dude. ooh @trailanimal you live in the arctic dont you mate? got any suggestions of cold loving beanz to help our friend out? : )
and the search goes on! The fastest strains are your best bet @wetwood. I used to always be looking for the big plants with the big yield, but damn, the bigs take a lot longer and @66.5N time is not...on my side. Also, sativa dom plants have a harder time getting to maturity before the end of season.
Big exception Blue Dream, sativa dom, just loves me and my set-up and always comes through, no other sativa i've tried comes close to her speed, hardiness, and resistance. Bubba Cheese is also a steady performer as well as sweet skunk. This season I'll be creating strains with these fems and Portal Sour D males. My goal is get some Northern stuff that can stand alone in the arctic light, and grow fast enough to beat Arctic Night!

Nah man for that big of a Rez you need way more air than that. For a 10 gallon res you will need like 50 liters per minute MINIMUM and to get the max O2 method you'll need 100 lpm. Trust me on this what do you virtually no good to have that big of a reservoir if you don't have the air to support it. I have probably said it 100 times here the most common mistake people make with DWC is not having enough air. If it's simply just a money issue I have a spare pump or two that I Might be able to send you. But I promise you this you will be disappointed if you don't have enough air and that big ole reservoir

What would be your opinion on a shallow water culture where the entire root mass is always exposed to air, I have nutrient spraying on it every 15mins 24/7. I put some small air stones in the reservoir then I took them out then I put them back. Do you think it's not necessary in this situation? Here's a shot where the roots are only a four weeks old.

Never seen it done like that before mate. Seen loads of guys use mini versions for cloning but never a full grow. It's basically a giant aerocloner. Is that what people mean by aeroponics then?
Similar to how my nft works actually now that I think of it so no, you shouldn't need any extra air I wouldn't imagine. Can never have too much air though so if you've got it you might aswell.

Okie dokie. Yeah that's what aeroponics means to me but others might have different ideas. That root mass is just sitting on the bottom of the top tub with drain holes in it that fall into the reservoir. I wanted to have better jets that would give a finer mist. In the shot the top is lifted to take the photo otherwise the green jets spray onto the side of the pot and then splash around.
