Good luck with them sprouts man. With those kind of ratios one would have to think the seeds are to fresh. Well until they sprout :pop:

Sending you green vibes on the little sprouts!:wiz:

cheers for the comments everyone but there isnt a lot i can do at my end

out of the 10 seeds ive had 1 thats risen but even she doesnt look to be great, tony tells me that they are looking into the problem, ive got some blue cheese seeds in soak that i was considering doing 12/12 from seed or i might just run some other autos as a back-up plan

you never know though this 1 seed could turn into a monster and suprise us all :D

Maybe they are just shy.... Lookin like the one in the back might pop out soon! fingers crossed for ya man!!!!

like i said earlier in this thread, taking photos of seeds that have cracked open and showing taproots always results in non germination for me

ive got 3 babies to play with so we are good to grow, record timing as well as they only went into the rockwool cubes 2 days ago

these will be placed into dwc later on today and ill do a step by step guide on setting them up as i get loads of requests asking how to do this, i know there might be a few people reading this thinking dwc isnt really that hard to get going but this is more for the people who are wanting to maybe give dwc a try for the 1st time or struggling to get to grips with how to set it all up

Looks Awesome Seymour, I missed your last grow but I'm going to be paying super attention to your grows for now on and plan on taking a look back at your previous grows. There's so much to learn from you your kindness in sharing is greatly appreciated.

:peace: BeaverG

Seymour I too am one that wants to learn DWC, the results that can be achieved have to be witnessed. Just wanted to tell you thank you for being willing to share the knowledge you have with others. I look forward to learning DWC from you and watching another great show with you & DP's new genetics. You & DP are one Hell of a team!

I second that I think a lot of us enjoy learning from your grows so is good your open about your methods! I used to believe you couldnt grow properly with leds untill you kicked that beliefs ass

Meh.. this is just another photoshop job so that seymour can sell more LED panels lol :D

Hey, Seymour. I've traveled far and wide from another forum where a certain bulshy gentleman who knew everything possible about everything made that claim about your grows.. remember? :D

Anyway man.. glad to see you're still showing the way forward with LED's, so lots of green mojo coming your way. Not that you need it.

:peace:

cheers for the comments guys

dont get me wrong some people like to grow in their own specific medium but i do get loads of pm's asking this and that so its only fair that i try and answer all those questions in this diary

yeah big buddha i know what you mean but the internet does have its fair share of dickheads who dont know how to grow period, you will like it better over here as the people are great and their knowledge is also really helpfull

here we go with seymours step by step to getting started in dwc........ drum roll ........ lol

1st thing you need is plenty of o2 blowing into your buckets, i think most of you guys know that i use a 60ltr per minute pump divided between 2 buckets which looks like this

next job is to get your water levels sorted out from the start, use an empty net basket and fill the water about 1" above the bottom of the net pot, ill always keep my water level above the basket and never below, i know loads of growers like to have a gap of about 1" under the net pot which is entirley their choice but i like to encourage just feeder roots to be in the res and not corded ones, feeder roots are what help achieve big yields

picture.php

once you have your water levels sorted you can add your nutrients, for this stage of the grow ill be using

rhizotonic, cal/mag and formulex that come to an ec of 1.0-1.2, ph is 5.8, its important to let your ph settle a bit once you 1st add ph down to the res, wait till it remains stable @ 5.8 before continuing

then add your clay pebbles or what ever medium your growing with so it just covers the water level, i know a lot of growers who like to soak their stones for 24 hours before adding them in ph 5.8 water, this is entirley up to you

picture.php

rest your rockwool cube with your seedling in ontop of the pebbles and start to fill in around the edges so she is nice and secure like this

picture.php

the next step is to wait for the roots to appear from outside the net pot and its all systems go ;)

res temps wanna be between 16 and 24 degrees

i never ever top feed the seedlings purely because i want the rockwool cube to dry out so the roots go searching for food, if you are top feeding it may take longer for the roots to appear outside the basket, just my own personal preference

ive also got my new grow room which is now a dr150 so ive got plenty of space for the plants to grow, my babies are under just 1 light which is running at 150 watts

hope this helps
