Yeah I’m not too worried about the white hairs that happens with the foxtails and new calyx’s forming. Mines more then likely getting chopped in the next week :pass:
Yep! Just let the Trichomes tell the story!
Genetics come to play in a large part with foxtailing, but so does light intensity. I noticed it more so with a couple of strains that was hitting pretty hard when I was using CO2. The further away from the light, the less foxtailing.

Yup exactly that’s what made me make my first comment about them. The uppers getting the higher intensity light were doing it and the buds mid section look normal. So I’d thought I check trichz and sure enough about ready :headbang::woohoo1:

I definitely don't mind what Fox tailing I'm seeing with what you guys got going at the moment. The only thing it might hurt is bag appeal. I think it's still just as potent and it's more bud! And that's especially true with the leaf to Bud ratio this drain seems to have. I think it's going to be a pretty easy trim up.

Yeah I don't mind it at all actually creates more surface area for trichz so they usually extract very well. Just mainly don't like it for pictures and when it does dry down enough it usually turns into shake in the bag but other wise it's all the same. :headbang:

I am not discouraged by it at all just was making observation

Me too, they aint cooking longer than 77 days lol. Especially with trichomes almost perfectly where i like them!

I think foxtailing can be beautiful, and both genetics and light intensity play a part in it, but if you know that the plant is genetically predisposed to it than id be less likely to cut the lights back and jist let it do its thing. I wouldnt want to deprive it of anything at such a critical stage. But thats just me. Look at Dr Grinspoon, thats such a pretty plant in my eyes! I heard somebody somewhere say that an eight filled up a sandwich bag lol.

I remember a strain from way back called Mothership and it had a unique trait, alot of nugs had 3 lil foxtail like tips on all the bigger buds and looked almost like a crown lol. Killer bud too!
