I was pretty sure your pH was pretty far outta whack, but yes I would feed some very low pH water through the next time you water. Again my best advice would be to PM muddy as he is by far the best source of info on what to do with pH problems. He will know exactly what to do and the fastest way to get your plants back healthy again.

Thanks medic. Got the chemical up and down now but would prefer to use organic chemicals if pos. Is citrus acid same as apple vinigar or lemon juice. Baking soda have heard off but I'm no cook lol. Will have a look in local supermarket. Will check pH after adding nutes tomorrow to see how much they affect the water pH.

They will affect it quite a bit in most cases. So after you mix your nutes you want to check your pH. Then adjust with either the up or down to get to your desired level. Water until you get a little run off and try to capture the first shot glass full then test that. Again it's been so long since I messed with soil pH that past this step I don't really know the fastest/best way to raise or lower your soil pH but you might want to ask in the 24 hour help thread, I am sure you will get a quick quality response there

Ph perfect ????

Height of plant is now 39cm
Distance of light from top of plant is 40cm

Have been spraying under leaves with epsom salts as advised. The lower leaves are very pale with the odd brown spot. Upper leaves look ok although overall colour of plant looks pale to me. A few more stems have gone purple.

PH BIT.

I was advised to check the ph of my soil and water so yesterday i went and got a liquid test kit. I tested my bucket of water and the ph was off the scale at about 9.

I tested the same water this morning and was still about ph9. I then added 1tea spoon epsom salts and my nutrients following my week 4 scedule which is

3ml/litre Alg, 3ml/litre Root, 1ml/litre Grow, 1ml/litre Fish, 2ml/litre Bloom, 2ml/litre Top max

I then checked the ph and got ph6.5. Was surprised at this as was expecting it to be high. Maybe the epsom salts have made a difference. (1 tea spoon to 3litres of water)

I then watered my plant and checked the run off which again surprised me by being 6.5ph.

Thereby I am assuming at the moment I do not have a ph problem. Although this could be due to the epsom salts of the nutrients in my week 4 schedule.

My week 4 and week 5 schedule is the same so I will recheck ph at next water.

I am expecting the major growth spurt now so I think the fact that week 4 has higher Grow per litre will help this and might even stop the paleing of leaves.

Will carry on spraying under the leaves once a day for now.

Nice! Way to go Trip, I am glad to see you get this under control and did not loose a bunch of time trying to get it back under control. From here on out just make sure you check your pH after you mix your nutes and adjust accordingly before you feed, then check the runoff each time to make sure everything is on the right track. You should defintely see a big growth spurt because now the plant can acutally use all of those great nutrients you are giving them. You should see the yellowing and palness of the leaves start to clear up over the next 48-72 hours, along with new growth. I think you will be amazed at what getting your pH right is going to do for your plants it literally makes all the difference in the world. Defintely keep us updated and snap a few more pics here in the next couple of days so we can all see the ladies rebound

Plant growing quickly now. Def not drooping anymore although still pale. Think new growth ok though. The old affected leaves really brown and krinkly. Was messing about with my ph kit on one of my other plants and think my run off readings are inacurate which i think is down to my air pots letting the water run out before it has soaked through the soil..........

Looking a lot better already! Great job and a nice plant!

I think you could up the nutrients a bit further. Try 4 ml/l in conjunction with less frequent watering; they look a bit overwatered.

Nice, massive plant! Massive plants just tend to eat a lot. :Sharing One:

Hi wienerwoods. Thanks for taking time to have a look. You could be right about over watering. Problem is at the moment am watering about every four days. Can only open the tent in morning so have worried about it drying out too much before the next day. Temps have been hot but are now better av 27deg c lights on and 20deg c lights off. Also had a problem with pH and think needed Epsom salts. As I am using biobizz I have to use the grow throughout along with bloom (when it starts flowering). I normally continue with the dose I used in my last post untill growth stops. I am a bit worried about it growing too tall for my tent so I might have to raise the bloom early to stop growth. The main aim of this grow is to try and sort out why after about four weeks my plants went bad. With the help on here I think I have it sorted now and have another plants a few weeks behind which I am using my new knowledge on. Just remembered got 6 litre air pots. When i water I mix 3 litres of solution and water my plant over a bowl. I get about litre of run off which I throw away. Thanks for your advice. I appreciate all input.
