Just worked out. My 3 litre bucket of tap water at pH off scale (9??) Needs 1mm pH down to bring to ph 6.5.

Is 9 getting to outer limits of ph being high I am too trying to get use to ph and levels. I know my grow medium is 5.5 to 5.8. I hope you get it dialed in quick bro. There is some good tutorials on youtube how to dial in those cheap ph pens from china if the money is tight. i spent my limit on everything but a good pen now i need one will be using a cheapy for now but will get a HANNA ph ec temp pen. The cheaper ones want you to have the water at 77 dergrees to calibrate them now Iam not sure if you have to have the water a 77 to check your ph after calibrated. Once again best of luck

Fairly Mate save some Bucks and get a Bluelab....this pens are bulletproof. Mine only needs Calibration when Batterys get changed. I had props with Ph in my newbee years too cause i only watched the Ec propper. But now after all theese years i dont care bout the ec anymore but monitor the Ph very strictly. My Bluelab Ec pen is even catching dust theese days lol

Yea i have about two weeks I will shop for a bluetab ph pen I will be using tangs schedule which is alot of suppilments but ph perfect base nutes and an supp's medic what about PPM? should i keep a eye on that. I hope this helps the Tripdog who started the thread too. Not trying to hijack

Well in my Mephisto Grow i was just going without Ec/PPM only watched the Ph Strict and got Amazing results. I think if You keep the Ph strictly in the Range they have the optimum Metabolism and can Handle the Nutes perfect even if they are a bit too much sometimes. And if you go with Tanngs Schedule this seems to be Bulletproof too. Did not try it myself so far cause the AN stuff is so expensive and rarely to get over here, but His results speak for themselves.

I have been using an mother earth tea grow and bloom as a stand alone for outdoor growing for years. I switched to sensi ph ab grow and bloom outdoors stand alone it grew beautiful weed all by itself. But I can get adavanced nutrients at a pretty good price but still expensive products but as easy as buying milk in Canada. That dutch pro looks like a good nutes too. Once I get ph dialed in I have another grow regime and the dude said he can root bound any pot with it. It took him years to dial this feeding schedule in so he says but the guy knew his shit that is a fact. But that is in the future and for DWC so I do not rootbound it once again thank you for the heads up on a good ph pen bro

Im using the Greenouse Powder Feed. Its all in one and you need to control the Nutes by Ph. Very easy Fertilizer the only i add is Root Juice Cal and some Bat Guano in the Coco. I would love to test Tangs Schedule but i was a Tester at Gh and they Sended me a mass bunch of Kilo Packs from the Powder Feed. Even gave a lot to my Friends and i still can Grow a good 5-10 yrs with the rest over here.

Just read on another site where someone had high pH with biobizz nutes. Said after adding the nutes to water pH dropped by o.5 which was still to high so he used APPLE VINIGAR to lower the pH. Some said using a chemical like pH down with organic nutes could kill useful bacteria in the soil. Although one reply said he used biobizz with pH down and had no problems. Already got pH down now so might get some vinigar as well.

Tripdog i use Citrus Acid for Ph down and Baking Soda for Ph up. No need to buy those Ph upers n downers from the Growshop.
