Dutch Passion Dutch passion auto ultimate with dutch pro autoflower soil nutes

Those figures are the pH of my nutrient solution. Ie water + nutes. Throughout the grow I had been adjusting my nutrient solution to pH 5.8 and then watering with it. In fact it looks like I probably did not need to alter it at all as I should have been feeding at 6.5 to 7.

ok same here, but i was thinking that if you feed at around 5.8 - 6.5 that the soil would be that ...?

right ok, but basicly ph tester is telling you if your waters too acidic or to alkaliny, and we want it in the good zone.
i think what you mean is you can have good ph but your ppm might be through the roof.
so what im gonna do is buy a ppm pen and a soil meter and i think i will see great improvments

Yes sorry, having you pH in a good range for feeding is important. I just meant the pH you put in is not always going to be what the pH of the media is which is important. Reading run off is not a good way to check pH either, the best was is to take 1 part soil 2 parts distilled water, mix let sit for atleast 1 hour - 4 hour max another quick stir and if you can strain out the soil and that will be the best indication of your media pH.

right ok, well i'll keep that in mind for future

WEEK 4 (9) - DAY 58

Have been feeding at ph7 for last week now but soil ph seems to be sticking at 5.8. Think this will be last week of feeding then flush I think. Plant def looks more healthy. Leaves have not been drooping like they were. Got slight burn on tips I think but as near flushing not too worried. Buds everywhere.

Ph of your soil does not go up after one watering. Do not expect that without serious flushing.

I measured outrun water ph when flushing Plagron Light mix last time. First changes in ph occured after passing at least 15-20 l water through. After 40 liters of plain tap water with ph 7.5, change in soil was from 5,8 to 6,2 and no better.

Good luck!

Been feeding plain water for past week. think i should have fed instead for another week. the plant has taken over my 75m square tent. one plant in a six litre air pot would fill my tent nicely. think i will grow just the one plant next time.
