Dutch Passion Dutch Passion announce LED partnership with Grow Northern !

Tang, I do not believe that. They have simply realised that LEDs work and that they have new business opportunity as they are very respected company.

I am sure that they know what they are doing.

I think you miss understood me bro I was just referring to this statement in joes blog.

Really wish DP shipped to the us. Bummin over here man!

hey guys

I will try to answer a few questions. First of all, we will not be shipping to the USA I am afraid. Thats always been a policy of ours.

And yes, we have sold out of our initial batch completely. More are coming and we will be shipping LED's again in 3 weeks or so. Initially it was quite a lot of work setting up the website and back office for LED sales, proving that everything worked etc. The fact that the LED's sold so quickly has confirmed our belief that we can (and will) be offering great LED technology to our customers, we just need to get more stock!

Some of you may find our LED manual useful to read, it explains more about the Grow Northern LED technology which we have, the LED's, power supply units and other information

So apologies if you missed out on the first batch. But don't worry, stock will be coming in soon and you can always go on our site and reserve one.

And Gonzo, thanks for your comments and good luck with the Think Different too. We too want to see LED becoming a realistic and affordable option for the home grower, and really the reason we have got involved is to bring a really solid, dependable and well specified (thanks to GN) unit to the market with quality seeds. There are several good LED options available to the home grower, but I agree you have to be careful making your choice. One of the observations that Dutch Passion have made is that there are many corners that can be cut during the design and component specification. Thats the real reason we needed a partner like GN to help us keep the quality level where our customers need it to be. Our entry into the LED market has been carefully thought out, starting with a reliable and good value initial unit. And after that you can also be sure that we will want to keep pushing performance and value.

and the €100 of included seeds is something we will continue with regarding our LED offer. We have had lots of feedback telling us what a good idea the free seeds are, and we like making attractive offers for our customers!

Of course it is attractive, and besides it is a good marketing for your respected company. I will definitely stick with you because I like the way you play.

Now I have 3 Think Different plants doing very well, at least I hope.

Here is the picture, day 5, some would count 4, I start when I put seed under soil surface, not later.

It looks like Boeing Dreamliner. And look how nice necklace she has got. Isnt it nice?

Beautifull manual with a little mistake. I think this light never consumes more than 170W. I do not know where does 190W come from? And 210W at peak? It is 270W light.

When I measure LED light power consumption, and I often do, I see no peaks at all. Consumption stabilises after 2 secons and thats it. Then it varies +-1W.

The 270w stated is the maximum power of the light but the chips aren't run at the full 3w more like 2w (depending on colour). I have a MS0006 (same as the Highlite) and at 25c room temp it ran at 187w....the warmer the room the more power consumed but at an average g room temp it would run around the 190w DP state in the technical manual.
