Another arrival (Black) SD No.2.

Having had an issue and seen others with similar issue of seedlings emerging with seed casing still attached I had theorised that the seeds were not being planted deep enough.
I planted all these seeds at 1 inch ( 2.5cm ) and thankfully all have emerged minus seed casing having spent more time working through friction below the surface....result..

glad there is no shell castings! but is that because it was 1" deep? or is that because the soil was dry but moist enough for the seedling to go through?

i not got them in DWC yet, they are 7 days in rock-wool

i know i said that i would try 1/2" next time -- i admit that i forgot. lol.

this time i did the same @ 1/4" like always -- both resulted in shell castings (if i remember correctly)

but then what if they dont show up at the same time?! -- wouldnt that result in a soil thats more dry than the other?
next time for sure! @ 1/2" or maybe 3/4" -- i just need to remember.

maybe someone can do a side by side germ process of depth -- then we can see the result.

Well herbal I did put 2 in @ 1.5 inches deep just for fun so we will see if and when they arrive..:group:

More Dragons... Karma Dragon 3 is up, undersides of the little cotyledons are black, with 3 more visible trying to break out.. Lets see how they like the Helios...:group:

A quick check and we now have 3 Karms Dragons and 2 each of the black and the red Stone Dragons above ground...:smokebuds:
