hi pal,
that's what i am struggling with too, set me space up and been testing it out,it was OK before i light proofed it but now its sealed the temps are rocketing , i got a fan, and an extraction fan but it just aint cutting it and its feckin cold outside still, going to freeze some 2 litre bottles and put them in see if it works , otherwise back to the drawing board
I tried using frozen milk jugs. Melted fast as hell, and didn't really drop the Temps too much. After a while, the only real reason I kept using them until I got my heat problem resolved, was to set my mind at ease. Silica helps grow a hardier, more temp resistant plant. Might wanna look into it
Hey bro..just thought I'd chime in on this one bro cause I have had experience with this very thing..when I use to grow in a cab I had heat issues as well and tried the frozen bottle tactic with no luck. I had 3x2 liter pop bottles crammed in my Lil cab and it really didn't drop the temp much or for long. You would be suprised how fast they melt in a 90 degree cab.
The best result I had was with a duel use unit....for $30 I bought a mini cold mist dehumidifier by bell and Howell. I just make sure I put ice cold water in the bottle and it's good to go. You can cool your cab by at least 5 degrees and bring up you rh at the same time. It can hold a 2 liter pop bottle and one fill usually lasts a whole day if not on full blast. Lol hope this helps bro..it's great cause it takes up lil room in your cab...

This man speaks the truth!^^
Thanks for chiming in. This could do the trick. More stuff to buy woo hoo. Also got to pick up some Gatrol of something for gnats.
Gnatrol seems to work pretty good for me! I water my soil wit it before dropping my beans.
Thanks for the encouragement guys! I think I may be apprehensive because I don't publicly want to be known as a "plant killer" lol, as I have already failed to germ 2 previous beans. I was kind of waiting to get the 2 I got now out of the seedling stage whenever that is.
If someone were to say, "...would the real Plant Killer please stand up?", you'd be lost in a sea of faces! You are far from being alone!
My soil blend seems to be pretty airy. These 5 gal. air pots (green base) seem to dry out rather quickly. If I pour 1 liter very slowly, I still get about 35-50% runoff. Two days later the soil feels dry 3" down a measures about 3.5 on the accurate 8 dry scale.
A couple of days ago I watered with a garden sprayer (thanks GB) with just a slow light spray. Took about 15 minutes to apply 1 liter but there was almost no runoff. And the pot is still a little damp after two days.
As always, all comments and/or tips are welcomed
Not sure why the pictures are not showing up in the previous post here they are again.

I like the fast dry of an airy soil mixture. Worry less about root rot, not a good environment for gnat eggs, and it just makes me feel like my girls have a healthy appetite!
