Grow Mediums Duckster's 2nd DWC

@hairyman I was driving home from work today listening to the BBC news hour and they did a segment on your festival. They said that this year there a lot of comedy and theatrical stuff to see. Sounds like fun. We could use a festival like that around here. We have lots of festivals here but they all have two things in common - FOOD and MUSIC. Sometimes that's all that there is. But never lots of comedy. Wish I was there but it's a bit of a commute. lmao Go out have some laughs for me lad.:frog:

Lol it's a nightmare time to Visit full of bloody tourists lmao

Well it rained most of the day. About 8" which seems which is a lot. But it is nothing compared to the 50"+ people to the west of me have gotten since Friday. I used the time to do a res change, have a bondage session with the cheese, and take some pictures. Might as well do an update too. Since the walter white is only 25 days the mix is mostly a veg mix 2ml/l of grow, micro, bloom with 1 ml/l of B-52 and RhinoSkin. I also added 1mg/l of Bigbud and SM-90. Res temps at 78F, pH 5.85, and EC at 595. The roots are starting to get big.

The Walter White is now 25 days and 11.5". She is starting to fill out but still looks like a dwarf compared to the Cheese.

The Cheese XXL is on day 36. With massive amounts of bondage, I have managed to limit her height to 17" and keep her on her own side of the cabinet (mostly).

So now it's time for me to get my cartoon fix. :smoking: Thanks for dropping by:baked:

The girls are some thirsty bitches. They drank 2 gallons in 2 days. The cheese probably drank about 2/3s of this but the walter white is holding her own. She is up to 12", bushing out nicely, and fighting for her space.

The cheese got some more bondage yesterday but today I gave up trying to tie her down anymore. Decided to take @Wile e Peyote advice and I am now super cropping everything at 18". Also defoliated most of the largest fan leaves. Took a few from the little girl too. The cheese is probably going to look like a deformed mess by the end of the grow but I see plenty of bud sites. So I am hoping what she lacks in beauty, she will make up for with yield.

Note to self: The cab using DWC is ok for 2 small to medium sized plants. But big girls like the cheese xxl, limit to 1 plant dumb ass!

I can do that :cool1:. And take a bit of this :slap: just because it let me do it.

Well I had to get more water for these thirsty bitches. I have been using bottled water because my tap is about 220ppm. This wasn't too bad when I grew in soil. But I figure that I use 75-100 gallons for a 2 plant hydro grow. I have bottled water delivered at about $2.30 per gallon. I also have to supplement this gallon jugs from the store at about $1.00 per gallon. So I figure I am spending $150-200 per grow just for water. :face: I don't need a smack in the face to realize there is a cheaper way to go (maybe I do need a smack now and again). So I broke down and ordered a 5 stage RO system for $300. It will take a week to get here a another day or 2 for my lazy ass to get around to installing it. So one more delivery from the water guy and then I cancel the service. I figure the RO system will pay for itself in about 6 months. A win win in my book.

I got one for growing but my tap waters only 100 ppm so I just use it for drinking now no more chlorine taste get yourself some 25 ltr water kegs so you always have water handy I had to do that as my water pressures not the greatest took a long time to fill

Yeah I got that one covered. Dispense speed seems a common complaint for most RO systems. Things like TDS concentration of the feed water, water pressure, diameter of the lines, and age of the filters all factor into that equation. I have five 5 gallon bottles that I plan to keep full.
