Indoor Dual Spec HPS.

Hi guys,

What is your experience with Dual Spec HPS bulbs? I am basically wanting to minimise stretch for the first few weeks of my seedlings and thought that this would play a good role in minimising stretch but also supplying my older plants with sufficient red spectrum light.

I use those same bulbs (but 600w) and they have never wronged me. Although the best way to stop too much stretch is to keep the seedlings closer to the light. When I have them in with other mature plants I sit them on buckets or something just to raise the height.

Thanks man! I think I may get the 400w version. My seedlings are currently under 6500k 55w CFL which I have started to do for the first 10 Days to reduce stretch and promote good root growth which a flowering HPS can't really do, I think this dual spec will be perfect for what I need it for. [emoji106][emoji6][emoji38]

Thanks man! I think I may get the 400w version. Depends on spectrum.

minimise stretch for the first few weeks of my seedlings

Then give them mostly blue spectrum light - it makes them more bushy instead of tall.
