So I'm trying figure out how to dry my recent harvest with a 70% humidity. That's as low as I have in the house. The flowers have dried to 70% rh so how do I lower it to the 62% Optimum rh? The rh in the Midwest sucks for the next 2 months.
Learn how Integra's 2-way humidity control works to keep tobacco and herbal medicine fresh, preserving aroma and quality. Integra Boost is safe because it only emits pure H2O vapor. Safe, effective & simple. Prevent mold & prevent overly drying with our non-toxic humidity packs.
Boveda, the original terpene shield, protects your terps from losing everything you love (aroma, flavor effect) with different sizes based on your cannabis storage needs.
Mid South is also known for high humidity during summer months and makes it a challenge to dry buds to the optimum state. I vape most so like my herb to be in the low to mid 50's...now thats tough......air movement is a must but doesn't always eliminate problems.
Recently lost several large photo colas to bud rot so I invested in a portable ac/dehumidifier. Along with ac infinity fans, all is good again.
If you don't mind the leccy bill, an AC is a good investment. Any room with an AC will be good for drying. I dry mine in an empty closet, inside an AC room. Closet door a few inches open. I keep a ceiling fan running just to circulate air outside the closet. Takes 4-7 days depending on buds and trimming style to cure at around 60% RH. Will need to burp around a month for my conditions. Note that my humidity and temps are very high.
I have all my jars with Integra packs. But I don't put them in until the buds are near 62%.
I have everything drying in a spare bedroom with central a/c and two fans running in the room. Whether the jars are open or closed the rh is staying at 70-71% . if I have to I'll get a dehumidifier , but they suck if you can't.run a hose for the drain, and in that bedroom I can't.
I was about to suggest a space heater for the room. Higher temp yields lower humidity. Your dehumidifier should do the job for both removing water and increasing the temperature. Keep the door closed.
