Yes Peter Sugar Leafes are the ones which are in the Buds ore coming out not the big Fan Leafes at the Stems. My lil thumbrule is whats covered with sugar stays on. And if the Buds are dense enough there is not much to trim when dried cause the sugar ones will melt together with the Bud. Here is a Pic of the Tyrone Special Dried Buds with the Sugar ones on them. I am happy you raised this question, Peter. I learned something new also today. Wonderfull! Now I can feel better being a bit more lazy with my scissors.

Those are the ones PP. I do it as Pop22 does. I do cut of the fan leaves and leaves with no trichomes on them but keep the sugar leaves on. In my experience it improves the taste of the bud and is a better smoke than if you where to smoke the sugar leaves without the bud.

I only trim all fan and large sugar leaves after removing main stems. Then let dry @ 20c for 2-3 weeks. Then bag with a generous sheet of newspaper to absorb more moisture.
I think the manicuring buds is for presentation only. I smoke the stuff for effect and not for appearance.

I just trim my sugar leaves for making BHO.. If not for that I'd leave them on. They kinda melt into the bud after a few weeks of drying. Like someone said above..
