Too hot to eat tonight. it was 111°F in my back yard today. 106° at the airport. I am in a heat island that runs about 4° degrees warmer than at the airport where the "official" reading is taken. I bought a lot of different thermometers over the years because I did not believe them but after so many I bought a perfectly calibrated mercury bulb thermometer and low and behold my other thermometers were telling the truth. That was about 15 years ago. I broke that expensive mercury thermometer a long time ago and they are being phased out of production because of the toxic mercury. I have three modern thermometers outside now all transmitting to the same base station. It is pretty wild that there can be 4 or 5 degrees difference from the front yard to the back. No mater how you look at it it was f!@#%ing hot today.
 
Damn...trips in mid June. I swear I feel the sun's beam more intense these days. It's just SO HOT sometimes and I don't remember that so much from back in the day. Maybe it's just me...or maybe things are happenin. I know what ya mean about heat and eat. It's hard enough eating a Big-Mac that's delivered to your throat hole let alone do some cooking... especially like we do. Thinking about some takeout Chinese on Friday night possibly...probably...definitely.

We loved that pasta dish so much, I grabbed some stuff to do it again. Technically that was more of a white wine cream sauce than a true Alfredo. I'm not sure which way it will go...it was so good that I might just do that again. Got the chicken breasts filleted in half to take some thickness out of em, they are soaking in Italian and will get a quick taste of the Web.

They have 6 packs of the Zweigles hot dogs that I speak so highly of at Wegmans for $2.99 a pack...that is the best price you'll ever see, so I hadda grab a few of those. There is also a place that is selling corn for $.10 an ear. That's like 1986 prices for here...lol. Maybe I should spend 20 bucks and fill the truck up and throw a corn bonanza extravaganza.

Food. It's what's for dinner.
 
Nice dude...that's a solid price to have arthropods for lunch.

I scored 4 more of those USDA Prime NY steaks last night for daddy's day...I wanted 5, but I cleaned em out. I even went back today, which was pointless. The whole case was picked clean let alone some Prime beef.

Redemption is coming.
