We have started eating vegetables with breakfast. I mean a lot of vegetables. We really only eat meals twice a day now. I don't know why old people do that we just do. It is the only way we could get enough veggies so we started doing this a few years ago. Now I miss it if we don't have them in the morning. We had sauteed mushrooms and swiss chard this morning with a mandarin, fried egg and turkey bacon. and espresso of course.

I love to shop! It gets me out of the house. I get to people watch. I park far away and usually walk entirely through two really big stores. It takes 45 minutes to an hour so I get some exercise. I am totally up on prices and sometimes I catch regularly used items on sale.

A humble offering from the Ribbz house, on this fine sunny sabbath, a little pork cheek, ginger, 5 spice, honey, soy sauce, chilli and a few other goodies. Jasmine rice, and fried cabbage, bean shoots, broccoli, baby sweetcorn. Pork cheek braised for 2 hours after some colouring in the frying pan

I like shopping too. I wander, especially at Wegmans...they have such crazy shit (most of which is WAY overpriced semi exotic stuff or prepared things). I have always been a math kid and have a good memory, especially with numbers. I always keep a ±5% quick tally in my head as I push my buggy around, so there is no surprises at the money taker human.

I remember prices on everything I buy regularly, so I can bitch when I see greed at work. Wegmans used to have these broken pieces of king crab legs for $9.99 a lb...that's a fucking deal, as it can hit $30 for some prime pieces. These were still really nice, and there is some real nice pieces in there. Last summer it jumped overnight to $12.99. I guess I can live with that. Then it jumped a lot. It went to $14.99 and then $15.99 AND they got tighter on what pieces go in the bags. So now it's 55% more expensive for considerably smaller pieces. Still the most affordable way to eat kingers, but it's NOT THE SAME. Bastards.

It's a good habit to know where the deals are, especially for staple meats...always go by the pound/quality. Then you'll know when you see a ridiculous deal. I scored 14 pounds of boneless skinless breasts last year for $1.29 a pound. Thats the cheapest I've ever seen em. Anything under $1.99 is fair though. Buy 5# packs to get the deal, it cuts the price in half. It really pays to be an educated shopper.

Yep! I am a human calculator in the store. The problem with remembering prices for a long time is you might not buy something you like. Remember when nobody bought chicken wings? They practically gave them away. I can remember 17 cents a pound.

Another shopping wanderer here. Find myself lately going to the grocery store almost daily. Not really big on planning meals days in advance, because almost always when I do by the time that day gets here I'm not in the mood for whatever it was anymore. So I tend to plan only today and maybe one days out worth of meals. Frequently find myself wandering up and down the isles just mostly looking for ideas of stuff to make. Hardest part of cooking for me is figuring out what do make every day, and wandering the store helps.

Oh wait didn't @Ozone69 just say that. It is true for me as well. We only plan meals ahead for guests. @Dr.Bubbles I turned the placemat over just for you!

This mornings breakfast. If I was wealthy I would have this ten times a month.

Those are some nice looking scallops. Are they hand picked sea scallops? That orange looks fucking perfect, and I love sparagus too. I would eat that brekkie 11 times a month. You and your damn spresso, which looks great too. You're really making me hungry.
