Hey Dr.Auto,

When do start veg nutes on your girls? I think you said you start from seed in the final 3 to 5 gallon pot, but when do you suggest me transplanting my girls in the tupperware containers to the final 2 gallon grow bags? They are going to be 2 weeks from breaking soil tomorrow. And when do think I should start LST-ing them? The Himalaya Blue Diesel should be fine without training, but the Afgan Kush Ryder is probably going to get pretty damn tall.

Thanks Doc!

well your gonna have to transplant them, cant leave them in lil tuppaware. it will stunt them from the size they could have become. thats y you start them in there 3 gal pots or bigger. i only feed veg nutes once at about 2.5 to 3 weeks, the rest of the grow i feed bloom. Lst them when it getting too big

I seen one of your vids and you said 5 gallon pots would be ideal for autos. Is this too excessive? I could only fit 2 in my tent. I kinda wished I did like 5-6 three gallon pots. Theres always next time. I hope I at least get 10-20 gr more than I would have in the 3 gallon.

yes 5 gallon is very good for autos. if you can get 5-6 3 gallons in there y cant 4 5gallon buckets fit? how big is your grow area? the main idea is to fill your space to its copasity and get as much bang for your buck. if you can only fit 2 5gallons pots in there then you should have went with the 4 gallon and get atleast 4 in there. you use 5 gallon pots when u actually have the space for them, like in big grows not lil closet grows

i watched several of your videos on you tube..
very well done sir!!!

Thanks Doc. I know I cant leave em in the tupperwares, just asking when I should be transplanting them to the 2gal bags. I think I'm going to start some veg nutes soon then, Im at 14 days from sprout, plants still under 2.5" tall. You don't think I should train the Afgan Ryder sideways soon to ensure there will enough room in the dresser with the 250w HPS?

Hey Doc, i need help bad. This is my first go at it and it not going as expected. I started super cali haze, planted them staight in the soil (FF). Light, i have 2 26 watt clf's red directly on them. I have a 400 watt mh on them as well. My question to u is how long before i start seing progress? Some of my other plants (reg strains) never took this long to start up. Is it something that happens with the autos?

Hey Doc,

I had a question about watering. I germinated my seeds 8 days ago, and transfered them into pre-soaked 5g pots.

Well today (day 8 from seed) the soil on top is dry, but about knuckel deep it is still dark and moist. I have not watered the plant at all aside from the initial presoak of the soil. The pots are also still relativly heavy compared to their dry weight. The plants are thriving, and show no signs of distress. What signs do you look for that indicate a watering is needed. I was planning on watering them at least once a week, but at this stage im just not sure.

Any suggestions?

it would help much more if you posted pics when asking a question like this. but normaly autos dont start there fast growth rate till week 2. but its also the slowest auto on the market so im not sure how fast it grows when its lil.
