Day 25

Hugely unnecessary and self indulgent post, but I've been having a tidy up in the loft while left unattended so obviously I got distracted and took a couple of photos. She's put on about 35mm in 24 hours so is starting to speed up, should be a fun couple of weeks of stretch.

Droopy leaves are due to light times as ever, I promise I'm not over watering her!

Day 27

She's still going well, bit droopy with the lights just on but she perks right up after a couple of hours. She now has pistils at all but the bottom 3 nodes, so we're moving along.

One issue; we have a few small brown blobs on a couple of the leaves. It looks like the variegated bit on the leaves are going a bit wrong. I'm fairly sure it's not cal/mag as I've been adding a little to the feeds for the last week. Thoughts? I'm not hugely worried but it's an interesting one.

Looking good. What are your temps like? Spots look like splash from nutes maybe ?

Temps between 25 and 28 C. I've been quite careful when watering and they're not on the very lowest leaves, but maybe this is the problem, I'll be extra careful for the next few feeds and see what happens. Thanks!

Looking good man! If you're worried about smell you can add a second filter on the outlet. When I ran a single filter I always had a small amount of residual smell that would build up over hours until it became noticable. So I added a second filter on the outlet and now the smell is completely undetectable. You will of course lose some airflow so if you're on the limit it might not be a good idea.
Best of luck with the rest of the grow!

Thats a brilliant idea, my last grow got really quite fruity. You're bang on about the smell building up, coming back after a few hours you really noticed it. So yeah, this might be required. I'll see how things are smelling in a few weeks.

I'm fairly sure my fan is way more powerful than needed so that shouldn't be a problem, will do some sums to be sure.

Thanks for the tip!

Spot on temps. How do you manage them in a roof space?

Spot on temps. How do you manage them in a roof space?

Well for my first ever grow last summer the temps were way too hot, so I insulated the whole loft with a high end multifoil insulation. I had to justify the expense based on energy savings for the house because it cost more than my whole setup. On the upside it works nicely and saved us about £100 this winter.

I have a temperature probe between the roof and the insulation and it gets seriously hot there, up to 50 degrees some afternoons...

Day 30

She's slowly gaining pace, up to 450mm tall now. Some of the side branches are becoming slightly asymmetric which obviously isn't an actual problem but upsets me a little anyways.

The top is starting to look like fun...

The odd brown spots are still there and appear to be dying, but there aren't many and they're not spreading. Bit of an odd one, will keep an eye on it. It's certainly not knocking her back as yet.
