right lets see if this works then. the end is me trying to show how square the light is with the gt. was pointless lol. ive got another light there too. would now be a good time to put that up? was thinking about angling them in from each side for a while to help reach the lowers. just to give them a wee boost. is that a good idea just now? be about 530-540 tw in total.

Yo evilscotsman ! your flow rate is far to much mate ! if you set the flow to say half or a third of what your using you will see your plants health get better ! and ppm levels around 300-400ppm i use for a full weeks feed in each res !

an easy way of finding how much feed your plants are eating is could put say 400ppm of feed in and dont feed nothing else in res all week , and then when you come to change res could measure the ppm again and see what ppm of food your plants roughly eaten that week ! i found i was throwing alot of nutes away each week that the plant never eaten and thats how i come to use 300-400ppm levels all the way through grows from seedling to flower ! hope it helps !

thanks for the input man. im going for dutch pro nutes next time. i got my nutes as part of a kit and have now read nothing but bad things about them and couldnt find a decent looking shedule for them. the manufacturers recs are waaay to high. im not even using half of it and because nobody uses them its harder to give me advice. ill be growing these a/u for the forseable so be dutch passion/dutch pro all the way from next time.

just spotted the 12oz solo cup challenge. not gonna enter but went and got myself some 500ml garden pots, some decent gardeners compost, tomato plant feed wich turns out to be NPK + loads of other things. having a look about and just gonna order the fastest flowering autos i can find and see how they get on. second light going up at some point soon so itll keep me entertained while these are growing : ) not that im not enjoying myself but its been a stressfull grow so far so a bit of light hearted fun would loosen things up a bit. actually, think ill split a pot in half and see what i get from a 250ml. any suggestions for small, rapid growing, otherwise pointless to grow other than for fun, strains?

I have used dutch pro nutes and they are good dude ! i found they do salt up abit after a number of months but while fresh is good stuff ! my fav nutes for a while have been house&garden aqua flakes , if you change over in the future , H&G works great it dosnt go stale as quick in the res as some of other ones !
i hear you on fastest strains ! i grown out a female seeds auto speed bud and i think it was ready in 7 weeks ! and was a nice mellow toke. thats the quickest one ive seen so far !

when i say 7 weeks on the auto speed bud ! the seedling had grown through the rockwool cube first before installing over the flow ! i liked the fastness of it and another that was really quick was a sweet seeds bloody skunk auto , pretty nippy that one aswell dude !

just been looking at that bloody skunk aswell. love the colour of it. spent a lot of time looking at different coloured strains before i decided on this. growing blue green would be awesome. decided im just gonna put one of my A/U seeds in a 160ml tub with some holes drilled for drainage. compost and tomato feed. hopefully get a wee bonzai if it survives. if not then ill upgrade to the half a plant pot lol. still gonna order some seeds but want to do some propper research first. i want the smallest and fastest, tiniest little lollipops i can find : )

yeah man, sounds good. i'll have a look into them. tbh my main concern for nutes for next time, rather than performance is familiarity. i read up about all this stuff every day but nothing on the web compares to a live experience with someone whos done it. wich, with dp nutes is very easy to come by. i dont even smoke it mate, only solids. this lots going to a wee, old, hippy type wifie in the highlands to be made into skin creams n stuff. hence why i just want some little playthings to tide me over lol. cant even enjoy the fruits of my labour
