Double Dutch Passion

SDC10639.jpg

So here we are, with my pair of Think Different coming to an end we come to a new spring and a new season for sowing one's hopes and joys, my joy comes courtesy of our one and only Dutch Tony (think Swiss Tony but smoother, cooler and has seeds) from Dutch Passion.

Now the joy I speak of is Dark Delight a Photo type from Dutch Passion that harkens back to the tastes of Afgani Hash in the 80's, I can almost hear the happy hardcore from here heh.

So what do we get in our pack of Dark Delight

SDC10627.jpgSDC10626.jpg

As you can see 5 healthy looking seed, I took the big mutant in the middle along with the little but lovley looking small one on the far right and did what any right thinking person would do and slam those buggers in some soil.

SDC10635.jpg

Along with a think different (gimmie summat to smoke while I wait heh), I planted 2 Dark Delight in total which I will pick the strongest of the two to take full term. Again just put in soil, damped down with a little boiled water and a drop of super thrive, cover with cling-film and slam em in the cab.

BTW a little digression here but those little tags you see came with the seeds and they are the tits, I know small things for small minds right, but I hate labeling things and often forget which plant is which, so these are as cool as 80's robots and never forget it.

I havn't decided which neuts I'm going to use for this grow yet, I have 2 weeks so its not a rush, will see if any of the companies I mailed get back to me before I make final purchase. But I did get me a new bulb, a dual spectrum this time as I will be vegging which isnt something I normally bother with.

So a bright new shiney diary, I hope you all enjoy and stay for the full ride.

yeah, do the double dutch !

Good luck with this Countzero. Dutch Passion are mainly known on this forum for our Auto's but we have worked very hard over several decades to build up a quality collection of traditional varieties so we hope you enjoy them. Dark Delight is a notably resinous breed which has a frosty trichome covering at harvest and solid, potent, buds. Could you give us a few words on your chosen grow method and lights please. I am looking forward to this !

You ask and so shall you receive,

Grow method is pretty simple, going to use a soil perlite mix 50/50 ish chuck in some coffee grinds and some egg shells, a little epsom salts then transfer my seeds over once ready, neuts I havn't yet decided on because I'm looking into new nutriants atm and will see what happens with that before I go out and buy my usual canna line-up. I will be watering every 3 days or so after 2 weeks and feeding as heavily as I can. I plan on 18hrs of sunlight for the first 3-4 weeks or so then switch over to flower 12/12 mode once I am happy with the size of the Dark Delight.

The light is my old as the damn hills 600w ballast coupled with my new 600w sunmaster dual spectrum bulb.

The only other thing I will be doing different is "knuckling" rather than LSTing the plant to keep it short, the process involves damaging the tissue low down on the stem to induce repair and oversizing of the stem.

So not so much a method as letting the plants do what they have been doing for thousands of years, I'm just moral support :)

Dude I have never heard of "knuckling" before, can't wait to learn about it from you.

Soo the wether has been amazing here in the UK so my update has been a little delayed, much like my girls I like to play in the sun.

The seeds all three of them have popped in fact they all popped on the 19th within 12 hrs of each-other, since then they have been spending their time on my window sill during days and back in the cab of a night, the reason being is that the temps here atm are knocking on the door of 30c and I dont intend to spend my day battling an over heating cab.

Another reason for my delay posting was that I was waiting for my good friend Greg over at Plagron too send me some neuts, they have finally arrived.

Heres the line-up for this grow

1 l. terra grow

So thats my neut line-up and very excited about it I am too tbh.

Now to the ladies, they are doing well, a little tall and skinny but nothing to worry about I think.

SDC10706.jpgSDC10702.jpgSDC10701.jpg

I still havn't decided which Dark Delight I am keeping yet but my money is on the one pictured above on the right.

So that's me, terribly boring stage of the grow I know, but nonetheless the devil is in the detail.

Hope you all still are enjoying the ride and do feel free too comment, ridicule or make helpful suggestions.

I'm not dead, Just have lost the ability to not lead an exciting life, gonna post a repotting update tommorow. But as a quick how they are, 1 TD is thriving as is 1 of the DD, buuuut there's a definate runt of the litter, if I even so much as look at it with neuts it burns, but tbh as I was gonna pull 1 of the DD's anyway it's the candidate for the chop. So thats me, I will do a proper post tommorow with glossy 8x10 photographs and a diagram :)

yo count!

I'm back, looking forward to the update. Take it easy dude

comming along nicly carnt wait to see preflow and flower pics :peace: Si
