Does anyone use biobizz light mix?

Thanks. I think that the biobizz light mix does not have nutrients in it. I think it is only soil with perlite on there.

practically no nutes in biobizz lightmix.biobizz also make biobizz allmix thats got enough nutes for a month or so.
the issues in the infirnary may be titled biobizz lightmix....but the issues are from adding cococo/some kind of guanno/a random local soil that has npk of 7,14,11,top dressings,PH etc.
biobizz lightmix by itself,or even with some added perlight or vermiculite.being fed the biobizz line of nutes should have little to no issues.
good luck n keep er lit

NPK: 133 - 201 - 365 (mg/l) EC 1.2 according to biobizz . I measured more around 1 (0.8-1.1)

Thanks. I thought that the all mix is the one with fertilizer in it. I emailed the biobizz people with that question and they emailed that the light mix is only soil and perlite. I am talking about the US version though maybe different countries have different things in it on there.

Allmix should have EC 2.4 ...... Too hot for auto seedlings .. but You can always go allmix on the bottom light mix on the top ... But this is for EU .. it could be different in us but that wouldve been just weird with soil. I would get like different size but different soil .. dont know bout it. But I can be wrong ... ;-)

@Dory The reason it took forever to get to four leaves in coco was the lack of nutrients. IMPO who ever told you that was just wrong. This is an excerpt from Coco for Cannabis a well respected source for information on growing in coco.

"Fertilizers for cannabis seedlings
When seeds first sprout, they use energy that is stored in the seed for their initial growth and development. That energy is quickly depleted, so plants are in a race to grow their leaves to be able to capture their own energy through photosynthesis. Plants do not get their energy from fertilizers, rather they get energy from the light and capture it through photosynthesis. The fertilizers that we provide allow the plant to conduct photosynthesis efficiently, but they are not “food” that plants “eat” for energy.

Until the plant opens its leaves it is not capable of photosynthesis. Therefore, it is best to avoid any fertilizers and keep germinating seeds and sprouts in low EC water. However, once the cotyledons open the plant will begin to fire up its ability to photosynthesize light energy.

Plants can only perform photosynthesis when they have access to micro and macro nutrients. Coco is an inert medium, therefore, the plant only receives nutrients if we provide it with the irrigation water. As I explain in the articles “Growing Cannabis in Coco Coir with High Frequency Fertigation” and “Understanding EC, PPM & TDS for Growing Cannabis”, fertigation always requires a balance. On the one hand, adding nutrients to the water helps the plant grow. On the other hand, adding too much can prevent the plant from absorbing water. During the seedling stage it is particularly important to provide nutrient solution that is the correct strength as measured by Electrical Conductivity (EC).

Cannabis Seedlings Ready for Nutrients Fertilizers
I recommend beginning to fertigate (add fertilizer to the irrigation water) when two conditions are met:

The cotyledons have been open for 24 hours, and
The seedling is in its first container with coco/perlite.
If the cotyledons are already open prior to transplanting into coco, then it is a good practice to presoak the coco in the seedling pot with nutrient solution at the appropriate pH and EC prior to adding the seedlings."

Good luck with the Bio-Bizz and listen to the peeps that make it work for them.

Deffinitely agree with Mañ'O'Green here, coco should be fed very early on. Light feed of rootbooster also makes a huge difference in the beginning if the coco is poorly buffered or don't contain any mycorrhizae.
I understand your confusion though, people say alot of different crap on the internet. Have seen several videos and guides made by people who are doing their first grow, lol.. Select your sources carefully, and this forum is a great place to start IMO!

@Ganjaholickz I'm looking to try Biobizz next grow myself, I'm a complete rookie with organics. You say Allmix is too hot for seedlings, would you recommend light mix for seedling/early veg and then advance to Allmix? I'm gonna read up on it, just got a little curious here.. The reason I'm drawn towards Allmix is I imagine least amount of feeding is necessary. Starting to get tired of mixing nutes once/twice a day :coffee2:
Opinions are welcome and appreciated :toke:
Mano's always right ;-) ..
As for the allmix I would say so. You can have strain that can handle it, but I wouldnt try that with autos. Back in the days I use it few times for photo clones and they usually handled allmix ok but they were strong, "bubble cloner" cuts and even then some more sensitive strains werent able to handle it (for example love potion and if Im remembering correctly ssh got burned af, shaman and bubblegum doesnt even blink and took it like champs). As Im growing only few auto plants now and not repoting, they go usualy straight into the final pot with lighmix. I use only rootstim for first two weeks. Then half amount of nutes first week. Enzymes in between. And then full nutes up to 2.5x depending on how plants are taking it. Im mixing nutes only once a week. If anything goes wrong in between of "strengh change" I usually try to catch up the deficiencies with foliar feed and up the next nutrients watering accordingly to the outcome. Im only experiencing light N def in last quarter of grow and weirdly usually on one plant only .. so next time Ill try to keep one more grow watering before bloom nutesswitch and will see
This is for hps and nutrient line that Im using. For the next round im switching to led so maybe itll go all to shit and Ill have to edit it a bit. As Im reading everywhere that with leds theyre needing more food and esp calmag ;-)
In the end for me everything was and is about reading plants and then react fast and correct. Then you can fix even the most hopeless looking plant ;-) but that is little offtopic ...

That makes sense, thanks for explanation. I think I read so many threads initially saying that they needed no nutes for 2 weeks, or 4 keaves etc etc that this was one of several issues I had with the first set of seeds.

I share your curiosity....for me the more simple it is to complete a grow.... the better :) I have heard that some people layer their soil with All mix for 3/4 of pot and 1/4 layer at the top of the Lite mix for when the plant is a seedling.... there are so many different ways to do things, like you I will be doing more research on nute-loaded soils.
