New Grower Does anyone know about LEC lighting?

What I notice is everyone uses led here. I don't mean to come across as a dick but I see a lot more home/personal grows in small tents. Sure a Mars will get me some decent bud but for those who want major ganja Mars and Apollo isn't gonna cut it. If it does it ends up taking hundreds - thousands of watts to do so. The efficiency of these are double that of most epistar panels. So your 430w of cmh is equal to 860 of Mars wall watts. That's a lot for a 3x3 tent. I have one going now with the 4200k bulb in veg. My other is sort of a backup if my plants get to big for my trays. Last run it happened and I had to put some outside the designated flower spot and the cmh was the best light choice based on price. I almost went all cmh but the cobs just beat it out efficiency wise and I really liked the Amares and the price I was given on getting 3 of them. 3 se-450's equals 4 cmh coverage wise and led came in just about double price wise. But it saves a little more heat wise and no bulb changes. Plus the Amare has the monos which are great to veg under and cobs and monos that are badass for flowering.
Your buds look fabulous. Next run I bet they will be much larger after being a little more experienced with them. Either way that's exactly what an efficient light is all about. Low wattage and massive buds! Congrats man

Thanks @BigSm0 you are the tits my friend, oh and your music isn't half bad either lol

@BigSm0 Here is a yarn for ya mate , AFN is a world wide community with different income levels , Yes we would love to have those lights , and income to be able to afford them is not there , So Mars may not be the best , but hay , it is what we can afford . Some one who is starting out is not going to get the big yields and the light will not be the problem , We live within our means , if we only get 3 once out of a plant we are way more than happy about it . I think some of you senior growers forget that you put guys of from starting to grow , you over well the by the things you say , You can grow good weed with Mars , and basic nutrients , and a bit of study .

I don't think he was bashin on mars or anything, there is just a difference between CMH and LED. He uses all of them I think lol

Got a little Dyslexic on the above numbers. 340 on the cmh and double that on a epistsr.

Hecno is kinda right. I do bash them in other places too. But here is a yarn for you. The light output watt for watt and heat output watt for watt and most importantly cost on a Mars is more than a hps. If you go off the actual wattage of a 600w Mars it's only 250 watts. Compared to a 250 watt hps is night and day. The yield on a 250w hps will absolutely be much better, cheaper, cooler and brighter. Besides my 2 cmh I have thousands of watts in LEDs. So I am not a hps pusher. But I do hate to see people think they are getting more for their money and they are actually getting less.

There are a few here that have done this in the past and in sure there will be tons more. Swapping out the blue and red diodes for cobs. I was actually messing with a Mars last night and a single hanging 50w cob. You would be amazed how much brighter 50w of cob vs 250 watts of Mars is. So for the people on a budget unfortunately are being taken advantage of. I do mean the best.

I havnt used or seen cmh/Cdm working but thats what im thinking of getting, meant to be 20% better than leading hps, the only thing with these philips bulbs is that youll need a e40 converter which some shops on youtube say deminishes light quality and also you must have the maxibright daylight 315 ballast , the bulb itself looks really lab quality so id say well worth the dollars
